I think Sunstreaker looks great. The difference in plastic and paint yellows doesn't bother me too much since at least the plastic yellow seems to be MUCH better than the thin, semi-translucent yellow used on the CW Sunstreaker.

WOAH!!! I'd have thought Snapdragon too before realizing the scale at play there with the trees.

I can see the idea of the Ark,
but it also looks a bit like Armada Tidalwave, or maybe you could see Broadside in there.

Lol, at first glance I thought it was Bruticus, and that was his Blast Off arm. Not too likely, that one.

 

i wish some of his parts could habe been arm claws and such to add to scorpy base mode but definitely some options for gearing up scorpy in his base mode 

 

I just want to say that the first thing I'm doing once I have new Scorponok and Fast Track in-hand is to do the then-and-now pictures with their G1 counterparts.

Scorponok is the biggest Transformer I have that survived my parents while I was growing up.

 

tried to fix a bit the art.
Considering it was a photo of the box art, I thought it may have been deformed by the persective, so I enlarged it a bit until it felt "right" for the proportions.
Then, I tried to do a quick overlay to clean and define some of the (few) details we could glimpse from it.
It's weird to think it's the Ark, since the arms looks asymmetric, but that left shoulder pad looks a lot like one of the front sections of the Ark.

Looks like a new character though, I can't recall anything that could resemble this at all.

Yup. It's the same as when people complained about the repaints/retools during Prime Wars. The alternative wasn't new molds...it was repacks/nothing.

And, to be honest, as we head into Kingdom I'm far more excited/curious about the possible exclusives. I loved the show, and when I got older I bought all of the 90s stuff. So I don't "need" the figures because the originals were pretty solid save for a few known issues (*glares at TM Megatron*). I'll absolutely bite on the combiners if they get updates and probably snag accurate versions of Dinobot/Airrazor if they are made, but beyond that I'm really excited to see Hasbro and Takara have some fun with the possibilities.

Like, had this been during Prime Wars I'd be hyped for the opportunity that we'd get a bunch of beast modes for G1 guys. Sure, we can honor the originals, but I'd love to see them take the opportunity to expand on it to.
