Really enjoyed this goofy episode. Cosmos and Meteor Fire seem like a great duo. I kinda dig the Steve Erwin Vibe from MF but looking at his design I wonder if they originally planned for him to be a Metal Hawk Homage? he's almost a blend of the shell and inner bots. Also nice space balls homage with Meteor Fires ship.
While I never cared for Steve Irving (he was kinda asking for it with the way he poked and prodded dangerous animals, and his show was more sensational journalism instead of a proper documentary like Attenborough) I did find Meteorfire being a homage to him funny. Enough to make me get the toy. Also, frankly Meteorfire makes for a better Rotorstorm than the new Rotorstorm toy, has the correct cockpit-chest too and similar colors. LOL on the pyramid aliens in the opening. I wonder if Cybertronians too have crazy conspiracy theories on pyramids. Pity we never see Cosmos transform. But, glad she was alright. And that energy being parasite could have easily been on Star Trek TNG or Voyager, LOL. Indeed Meteorfire's winnebago is sure a reference to Lone Starr's ship. Curious btw, are all you guys only watching these now? Several cartoon online sites had the season up for months, and even here on these boards there is a topic for torrents.
It took me a couple seasons to get into this show, the cheeseball voice acting really put me off and I missed quite a lot of it. But they’ve won me over with season three, much of that owed to all of the exuberant space oddities. I think I’d enjoy the hell out of Meteorfire’s show, I was a little disappointed that the bit with the pyramid aliens was so brief. More, please!
I have been waiting for them to pop up on youtube. No particular reason, I do kinda hope it helps to show interest. I have been leaving a like when I remember. I agree with some others I have seen that mention season three has been better. . . Transwarped of Animated felt the same way. Like season three roles around and they throw the kitchen sink at it. I like Bee's new design a lot. Enough to think about modding the Deluxe. I also liked that he only "autobots united" once if I remember correctly and with no shockwave. It felt right this time.
I applaud the OP for being honest as I've often felt the same thing about Steve. Doesn't mean any of us wanted him to die, but he did go overboard and place himself in danger quite often. Anyway, good episode! I really do love this show.
