Edit: Okay maybe not a dilemma, but it is interesting!

This post basically serves the purpose of being a documentation of (hopefully) EVERY Movieverse Seeker design. If I missed any images, let me know or post the image and I'll be sure to add it.
    Starscream:
    • Concept Art Starscream 1 (Oh... that is... interesting. It's like a fusion between the design of the Movie head and the head of the G1 inspired repaint)
    • Concept Art Starscream 2 (This is what his early toys are based upon)
    • Protoform Starscream With Early Head Design (This serves as the basis for the IDW Seekers)
    • 2007 Promo Render Starscream (Who weirdly shares coloration with his Voyager and Legends toy)

    • 2007 Starscream Finalized Design
    [IMG]
    • Protoform Starscream (New head is based upon Concept Art 2/Voyager Starscream)
    • RotF and DotM Starscream (Tattoos)
    • IDW Cybertronian Starscream ( You can see that his head is based off of the prototype)
    • G1 Inspired 2007 Starscream (Notice the G1 inspired head)
    • Bumblebee Movie Starscream
    [IMG]
    Skywarp:
    • Titan Movie Comics Skywarp (obviously based on his voyager toy)
    • RotF Game Seeker Sniper aka Skywarp (His ability in the game is teleporting!)
    • Human Alliance Arcade Skywarp (He has is voyager retool head and can, you guessed it, teleport!)
    upload_2020-8-17_3-32-19.png
    Thundercracker:
    • PSP Thundercracker
    [IMG]
    • 2007 Thundercracker
    [IMG]
    • IDW Thundercracker (Note the earlier head design)
    upload_2020-8-17_3-32-4.png
    • RotF Game Seeker Warrior aka Thundercracker
    [IMG]
    • Studio Series Thundercracker (We don't see it, but apparently present in DotM!) [IMG]

    MISCELLANEOUS
    • VERY Early Starscream Concept (Weirdly plain for my tastes, but pretty cool)
    • RotF Deluxe Dirge
    [IMG][IMG]
    • RotF Deluxe Thrust
    [IMG][IMG]
    • RotF Game Seeker Scout (Hard to see in the image, but he's colored like Thrust)
    • RotF Game Initial Concept Seeker Design (Look Familiar?)
    • RotF Game G1 Starscream Design
    [IMG]
    • Bumblebee Seeker Design (Blitzwing Specifically)
    • Bonus: Ken Christiansen Concept Art

A few interesting little tidbits that may be super obvious or known but I think they're interesting:

That early concept art head for Starscream, the sorta skull-shaped one, is actually used in an official book for the 2007 film. Specifically Look and find Transformers.

The final head Starscream ends up with was one originally designed for Megatron, as was the skull-like head slapped on Starscream at one point:

One of the pieces of concept art at an event also presented a version of this head that looked decidedly more... Megatron-like?

Oh wow that’s super interesting. It’s really weird seeing Screamer’s head on Megatron, but that Megatron-like head is very cool as well.

I like to think IDW Bayverse Thundercracker went on to adopt his look in the Studio Series toy and participated in the DOTM battle. The last time we saw Thundercracker in the comics was him fleeing after getting injured by Arcee sisters.

Not gonna lie, I think the ROTF game basic Seeker design would've made a much improved Movie Starscream. There's plenty of Bay's quote-unquote "alienness", yet the character's classic silhouette is still clearly there:

They could've even used KC's camo version of his alt for the sequel in lieu of the tats:

May I please ask what the titular dilemma is?

Most TF continuities have a single Seeker design that is stuck with. As you can see, that’s not the case with the movie continuity.

But there have been generally unique designs in this series, barring some mish-mash designs in TF5.

There's no indication of in-universe similar designs, and even the Seeker term was used to describe a team of explorers in ROTF.

Except the majority of your examples are entirely exceptions not found in the primary material (namely the movies themselves) or are similar enough to the original 'seeker' from the films that they wouldn't be considered more different than similar.

I mean, you're including the Bumblebe movie seeker design when that was officially declared to be its own separate thing and NOT part of the Bayverse despite the film's real world origins, not to mention THAT film actually has all the Seekers use the same body type as evidenced with how you can see several of them, including Starscream and I think even Acid Storm during the Cybertron sequences.

You're also including toy-only designs that have nothing to do with Seekers besides being blatant G1 homages. ROTF/NEST Dirge and Thrust? The former was an all-new mold that is blatantly based on the original character's design, which itself is a modified G1 Seeker body (to the point of having a pointy head despite not being the nosecone, rear shoulder vents that are hidden in robot mode, and overly complex hinges to get the wings onto the legs where they are on the G1 Dirge toy), the latter is literally just a headswap recolor of Breakaway who was not designed to be a seeker.

And then you include the ROTF G1 Starscream from the game. Not only was Sunstorm also in that same DLC patch but there was also G1 Megatron, and he didn't even transform - the in-game action simply allowed him to fly instead. Those are about as 'non-canon for fun' as you can get.

So I wanted to include designs from video game and comic tie ins as those designs seem to often go unnoticed. This isn’t really trying to encompass one specific live action continuity, but is more of a loose collection of the seeker designs that were created for the all of the live action films and their expanded media, which includes toys.

I put Dirge there because, while being inspired heavily by the original, is an all new design that wasn’t seen before. I put Thrust there and though having a picture of the entire figure may not necessarily be appropriate, he did have a brand new head.

I included the RotF G1 Starscream because his design is actually different from other iterations. The design process that Ken Christiansen laid out I found to be very cool and interesting. You can find it here:

I do honestly still love how weird and alien TF1 Starscream is. Some as sleek and clean as a jet turning into something so utterly bizarre and inhuman is a cool concept.

That second head design is fucking awesome.

Yeah, probably wasn’t the best choice of words. I wish you could edit titles.

For real though, I do think it's interesting seeing the Seeker design from the ROTF game again. It's funny how the designs based off the movie designs but outside of the movies (comics, games, etc) look a lot better than the actual movie designs.
Why's that game not on Steam btw

Idk, man. It sucks that the PC Port didn’t reach many, plus the DLC was never released in that port. I think the only way is to buy a PC disk, unfortunately. RotF Game designs are some of my favorite from the whole franchise. I still think it’s one of the best Transformers game and I’m STILL MAD THAT ACTIVISION PULLED THE PLUG RIGHT AS I WAS FINISHING ONLINE TROPHIES WTF WHY WOULDN’T YOU JUST GIVE A HEADS UP A WEEK IN ADVANCE FFS

It's a damn shame neither of these designs were used in the movies.
