Decided to try out SL-58 upgrade kit to correct the awkward raised shoulder posture

Final look before upgrade


Post upgrade with the shoulder fillers tapped to the side of the thighs

Corrected the shoulder issue.

Does not affect transformation at all. Found a way to store the shoulder fillers at either sides of Hot Rod in alt mode.

 

Need me some of those!

The stickers on Elita's nosecone that look to just say "Elita". They don't. There's another word on there. They actually say "Elita & Optimus".

The core bot mode looks worse but the shoulders look better in combined mode.

They made an earlier kit for just the Unicronus version, which turned into extra hand pew pews for core bot and shoulder cannons for combined mode.

 

So turns out Primal can use all the retail Prime Masters and one more, Prima is in his chest. With the Scepter of Sparks he could wield all of them.

The bad news is when doing this I forgot about Onyx...

 

Easy to do... I really wish they'd either had the one in Predaking be a different deco, or included an alt deco Onyx in some kind of pack like they did with the alt Prima, Megatronus and Soluses.

That said, I'm intending to get the 3D Printed Onyx Prime shell... thing someone made on Shapeways and probably going to use the Repugnus Titan Master which actually came with the Deluxe Repug fig to make my own Onyx as he has a beastial Titan Master head and is the right sort of colours already, and I prefer using the Repugnus from the Titan Master Mini Vehicle with the Deluxe figure anyway  

 

Thats a plan and he'll have one free hand.

 

An amendment to yeaserday Primal with the Scepter of Sparks can hold ALL 13 Primes, including Onyx.

So i finally fixed the ratchets in the hips/shoulders in Abominus/Hun-grrr.


That's a little kreo hand squished into the opening in the pointy bit. once i knew it was tight enough i glued it in. I didn't take the whole figure apart, just carefully used some tweezers etc.

If you are going to do this as well i recommend making sure it actually works before gluing it in. on one of the arms it made the ratchet operational in only one direction, so i flipped the direction of the kreo part and it worked fine.

Now Abominus can stand without bending over every few seconds!
