Age 7 :Once I was walking with one foot on the sidewalk and foot on the road then a car drove over my foot but luckily it was only a sprain Age 9: I used to wear expanders so when the doctor was taking them out 6 of my baby teeth came out as well age 11: got punched in the face and got a huge bruise Age 12: once I was playing football then I twisted my ankle age 14 ( November): I was sparring in karate and someone tried kicking me, so me being the genius I am, I blocked him with an open hand and fractured my finger
Honestly, It was a really bad oil burn from a dome popcorn maker it covered half of my hand. I had to wear gauze with Manuka honey for 4 weeks I only have a tiny scar from it thanks to the honey.
Age 18-months, fell off a changing table: fractured skull. Age 12, ruptured appendix. Age 14, hit by a car: compound fracture of my tibia and cracked radius. Age 16, shattered finger joint. Age 22, machete accident: swung a machete while clearing brush and it swung around and cut the side of my knee to the bone. Age 25, car accident: closed head injury, broken nose, multiple facial lacerations (including eye), shattered right humorous, shattered right pelvis where my femur shot up through my acetabular joint. Two January's ago: passed out from a viral infection and smashed my face on the floor, splitting my lip and chin. Last week: paper cut. Hand sanitizer found it for me.
I have metal in my body, but not the cool kind. Just plates. Well, the hip that needed reconstructed was replaced a few years back because the cartilage wore out.
Physically? When I was 8 years old I was chasing my dog down a hill when I tripped and fell into basically a barrel roll. When I got up I felt a weird breeze on my leg. I pulled up my pants leg and saw that a stick had basic went into my knee, you could see the bone. I ran(carefully) back to the house and by that point blood was everywhere and I was crying. Also, not me, but I found a kitty sitting in the middle of the road late at night once. He was looking to the right. We pulled over to pick him up, and upon doing so realized he had been hit by a car and half of his face was missing, literally. Almost his entire jaw, eye, cheek, ear, parts of the skull. All gone. He was alive, but was in such a state of shock all he did was hyperventilate. I wrapped him up in a towel and held onto him until he just passed. Thats the worst injury I’ve ever seen any living thing endure. I couldn’t bring myself to look at his left side so I held him on the other side.
Age 17, I was in a hurry to meet my sister after school to see a movie. Tried to catch the next train to the mall, tripped over the up Escalator and banged my left knee of the edge. Took a piece off my knee and I now live with a scar that looks like I got a hole in my knee.
Age 14- 3 degree burn down the inside of my left leg, was stuck as an outpatient going to the hospital school, and missed the entire 1st term of Grade 8 other injures included breaking my right leg in grade 4, fracturing my right arm in grade 7, having a seizure in grade 9, and having a fainting incident in grade 10
Broke a metacarpal in my right hand. Took me about a week to realize that it's actually broken and not just heavily bruised. By this time it started to heal anyway. My right pinky is about half a centimetre shorter, but whatevs. The look the doctor gave me was priceless anyway. At this rate you'd better pick an alt mode.
When I was in 5th grade, I sprained my whole lower left arm. Taekwondo, I am sure I broke my left ankle while trying to break a board, but it felt more like a mild sprain. I fell when I missed the kick and landed funnily on my ankle, and I swear I heard a pop or crack sound. My ankle was hurting for months after too. When I was working at Mariano’s, I was picking up glass and knelt down. I got a chunk in my right knee and while the cut healed, I now have a scar on my knee from that.
Age 4-concussion due to holding my dog on a leash and a cat ran across the street. I fell down the concrete steps. Age 7- broken right femur towards the end of the school year. That summer was horrible. It caused me to miss the showing of the 1986 movie in theaters. Age 12--broke off a bit of a growth plate on my right hip due to a horseback riding accident. Age 22--fell off from horse 3x in 1 day and damaged my ligaments in my right ankle. Age 23 (summer) --fell off from a horse and landed on my back. The horse was 17.1 hh which is a huge drop. My back muscles were pinching my sciatic nerve which was painful for 9 weeks. Age 23 (winter) -- slipped on ice onto my left knee. I was fine for a few weeks until I moved to Oregon. One day I was fine; the next day, I wasn't. My left knee was 3x its normal size. I was starting a new degree at a new university in January. Oregon had 2 weeks of freezing rain and I had to wear an ace bandage and knee mobilizer as well as walk around with crutches on ice. Getting into my car was a bit tricky and luckily it was an automatic. This injury was another 10 weeks of agony.
These might not count since they happen inside the body and I don't know how much damage they did but both did make me panic. Age 17 had a bedbug crawl in my ear while I was sleeping bled a little but no major damage. I was going to tell my parents but kept it a secret since we had to go on a train trip to see family. I heard some noises and blood came from my ear along with some pain. But luckily everything worked out just fine I never told my parents or any family members a bedbug crawl into my ear and nothing serious happened just some blood from my ear. Age 8 Again some else I never told any either of my parents or family. My father used to be a smoker sometimes he used empty soda cans to dump his cigarette ashes into instead of an ashtray. Well, I use to be a soda drinker. My dad put his cigarette ashes in the wrong soda can and I drank them. I didn't tell my parents because we were in the process of moving into a new place so I just held on to the stomach pain till we got to the new place. From what I recall I was sweating a lot and my stomach hurt also had some trouble walking and wasn't talking much just wanted to rest. But once I threw up I felt better right away.
Age 24: from a car crash: flying shattered glass gave me numerous cuts on my hands, 3 cuts on the left side of my face. Bruised pancreas that thankfully did not give me cancer. Broken pelvic bone in 4 areas, 3 on the right, 1 on the left.
Lacerated my left cheek (HEH) down to the artery. There are some post stitches pics in the Show Yourself 2019 thread. Also, spine injury during my deployment that left me with a permanent profile with the military and a 10% disability rating. It's still messed up.
Both happened in grade school. Friend picked me up and dropped me on the ground resulting in a very bad ankle sprain. Then a year or so later got hit in the nose with a football. Think Marcia Brady ow my nose but way worse. I don't know how it didn't break.
