Finally got mine today. Haven't messed with him much and honestly I'm afraid to. Ive already snapped 1 plastic tab and all the joints are super TIGHT. He is honestly more than I could have hoped for in gestalt mode.

What tab did you break? I had the 61 version and never felt like I would break anything. Super solid and the best CHUG Devy in my opinion

The tab on the crane where it bends down.

He is very solid. Love that all his joints are tight , ratchet, and hold a pose. Nbk devvy is like Frankenstein next to this guy

Anybody know how to loosen up his connecting joints at his knees? I can't seem to get Cement Truck (Mixmaster) off of Dump Truck (Long Haul).

There are release buttons on each of the connecting points that you push in to disengage.

Ya, I'm beginning to think my copy is a KO. Weak plastic and at some points, the plastic feels fragile, weak, or flimsy. Quite a few plastic flashing. Go figure since I bought it on Amazon for $100. Tsk, tsk, tsk...

Surprisingly, mine holds well as Devastator but the individual bots just disintegrate.

That shouldn't be the case. This set is as sturdy as they come, separate or combined.

Hmm. For my figure, Mixmaster can't come off Long Haul from Devastator (Even the push out tabs are barely doing anything as I'm using them). Scrapper's feet slide off easily. Bonecrusher's hip tab won't budge (perhaps it's glued in?). Hook's left arm port is misaligned (although this was fixed by loosening the screws). Scanvenger seems okay, although his thigh tread piece won't push up in robot mode. Long Haul is fine, except for him and Mixmaster as I mentioned.

Did you try turning the water hose on them?

Yeah, you got a KO. But for only $100, if you can fix it, it won't be so bad of a deal. I paid $360 for my legit one when it was first released.

As for your problem, can you get to some screws around the connection to take physically disassemble it to take it apart? Then figure out why it's hanging up and fix that so it doesn't stick again?

I'll probably get back to fixing it soon. I'm too frustrated with it right now. Spent the whole afternoon yesterday trying to transform it. lol

I’ve got my Yellow Giant up on eBay if anyone is interested. There’s nothing wrong with it. I just have to downsize right now. It’s a great figure.

    Sorry for the bump.

I was wondering do people think this set is worth getting by today's standards or is a little dated?

I honestly think it holds up really well. It's got all the features you'd expect from any modern 3P.... But I think Gravity Builder has kinda filled it's place. Cosmetically they have similar proportions and from what I seen online GB is easier to get right now. I'll admit otherwise I don't know much about GB (since I got Giant I didn't feel like I needed it),

I have it and I love it. THe combined mode is amazing, the individual bots are.... good but not great and they lack good weapons. But they all have 5mm hands so you can get some stuff from shapeways or another seller. But we gotta call a spade a spade, you aren't getting this for the individual bots, you're getting this for Devestator. He is about the same size as a CW/POTP non titan combiner. His combined weapon is really good and you can remove Hook's crane arm and make it a melee weapon

It is the best CHUG-scale Devastator available, unless you really like the Combiner Wars version (which there is a downsized KO of).

It does take creative liberties with the individual robots, who are not carbon copies of their G1 forms, but they're very well done. Make Toys was (is?) great about that.

sadly only on the later toys. For the first run of yellow Hook's crane arm was fixed and their were no interchangeable faces/heads.

If you want something at this scale, he has no equal. The legends/legends+ are too small, and the KO downsized titan devy is a flimsy piece of 40$ garbage.
