@TMReviews I don't understand how the man fixed the untabbing of the back leg panel....by sanding something?

 

I'm trying to illustrate how everyone's likes and dislikes are subjective, and as humans, we're allowed to feel that way.

If it makes you feel better Go-shooter has been confirmed to not have any parts forming by Fans Hobby. And given that Go-shooter doesn't seem to share many parts with Athena I'm confident Nightbeat will be different as well

 

That's nice to know about Go-Shooter. I'm curious to see what they do different with Nightbeat, though I'm not sure if I'll pick one up.

 

Whee. Yes, there is a smell, however I'm not certain that it is from the figure itself. Mine arrived with plastic covering the front and the rear of the alt mode, and the smell seems to be from its residue. The plastic bag holding the accessories which was taped underneath the clamshell has the same smell.

And like the others, one of the leg tabs pop easily, but fixed with a drop of floor polish into the tab hole. Also needed to shave the neck collar tabs with a hobby knife, as the Headmaster's head was stuck inside and I didn't want to use pliers to pull it out again. Head remains tight and no looseness.

The red cross on the front hood is the most difficult to place. It is divided into two parts to allow the transformation of the legs.

Yep. I did the same thing. I put on most of the stickers in vehicle mode. Held off on the door crosses until i had it in bot mode so I could compare them right next to each other. She might not be masterpiece but I like her better than any of the current MP Arcees. She does however need some work out of the box.

*nail polish on the hips
*nail polish on the door tabs that go into the back of the legs
*shaving down the tabs in the neck so this doesn't happen...

Yea same thing happened to me. I didn't want to risk damaging the head so i took the torso apart by unscrewing the 4 screws on the back and then popped the head out from the bottom.

With the torso dissembled it was super easy to file down the tabs with a small file to the desired degree of tightness.

 

No. Nail polish on the tabs. Sanding would make it worse.

the place you want to sand is the two nubs on the neck so you can pop the headmaster out without decapitating it.

These two fixes improve the figure a lot.

 

With the recently reissued DX9 Gewalt:

 

Well, shaved a little bit of excess I noticed on one side of the head port and now it doesn't get stuck. Also kudos to fans hobby for having fantastic support since I buggered the headmaster a bit and they're replacing it for me.

 

I’m totally jonesing for Gewalt! He looks so good. Lie to me and tell me he is terrible and I don’t need him.

 

If you waited this long and have the money, wait for the Fans Toys Berserk. Otherwise, this or KFC Ditka are still very good representations. Gewalt's tank mode is lacking (it's basically a square box with a turret on top) but the jet mode is great. He is humongous (too big for some), chunky, heavy. Some don't like the the top of the shoulders being completely separate from the rest of the arms. Personally, he is good enough that I won't be tempted by FT Berserk unless someone throws that out on clearance or something (fat chance).
