it's like SF2 or FF7, a standard which was so fundamental for the evolution of its industry that is now seen as overrated.
I would be very surprised if One Piece 10 years from now gets a nicer treatment.

We already know that Inferno got bumped into Kingdom and there’s a Galvatron in the line, so it’s not 100% Beasties.

I think BW would be better served with it's own dedicated show, not 6 episodes (at best, realistically) in a trilogy that's absolutely been about those re-releases you're talking about. Like always, 'generations' is just a BS label that by meaning almost nothing can mean anything! You could apply it to any toyline ever.

I'd be more confident in the entire project, never mind BW, if it looked like each chapter was actually dedicated to it's title. But there's precious little evidence, and it's a tough ask when you're wasting very short episodes as it is! And would you like to bet Hasbro won't put BW into hibernation again just because Netflix WFC hobbled it's chances from the get go?

I mean on the G1 basis of Siege the show, it's toys, and the toys we've gotten for Earthrise, I'm not expecting a bombastic return for BW as the finisher, I'm really not. It's still got G1 all over the artwork... They've even slapped WFC on the upcoming none more G1 TFTM figures, and are patently hedging their bets on a BW movie by luring a reaction with a 'leak' that mentions more G1 as the other option!

Would they even carry on with BW in a new trilogy?

This is all why I'd like things kept separate, long term it's better for everyone. Whether we like it or not, G1 is consistently bankable in company terms no matter how big BW was. That's how a company looks at it, and especially Hasbro lol

As I understand it, it was released with a yellow roof/hood and a black roof/hood, mine is black, for what it’s worth

 

Yay! I got Rippersnapper and Hun-Gurr from Ebay a lot sooner than I expected as well as Scorpie's map piece with Lionizer and Firedrive for custom Catgut and Fracas from @Siege Fan.

 

He is all white, but I don't know if I want to go through the trouble of painting jack all white just to remove those stripes, when he's already mostly white. And I'd have to redo the entire body to make it match, meaning white painting on white. It just seems a little wasteful. It would also mean he is glossy and none of the others would be. I may do it down the line when I've finished doing up Searchlight and Deathsaurus and I have some white left over.
As for G2 Swipe, he's staying. I love this thing. This figure is the entire reason I've gone and bought a G1 seige swipe, which is what lead to this whole omnibot thing in the first place. Lol. If anything, I want more of these things.

Inferno is confirmed? Must have missed that.

There were rumblings Nautica might've been a late revision from the original box 'bot to a then "hot, new character" because her face sculpt is somewhat different to the comic model whilst being quite similar to a TF Cybertron Override face streamlined so the Titanmaster could still sit in a cockpit...

...and she's actually from Velocitron unlike Nautica! I mean Nautica's a boat, they ain't so fast on a racetrack!

And Solus is a maker figure, like Athena, which makes a great fit for the "power of intelligence" as practical wisdom/applied knowledge to fit Mags "Super Stat".

Oh, GAWD, YES! If we could see the uncropped original pieces for the Hascon 2 packs that'd possibly blow the doors right off, and reveal the mystery!

In the meantime I have been on another Dyethwish jag of experimentation, and the results are thus...

When it came to the original bone white, yellow didn't even dent it, and racing red didn't look too hot at first but I kept reapplying it hot intermittently as I moved the centre panel over to blue.
I very nearly tried graphite/black as I was doing a cheeky side dye-job in that already but my backbrain kicked in just in time and reminded me if it was as faint as the red looked at that point then that could go brown, where last time I was on a dye jag I accidentally got steel grey out of blue, and, boy, has that happy accident paid off again!
I was thinking about going red for the ramp clips but when the panel did go steel grey as theorised, I whacked the pair of 'em in blue for that less eye-catching hue as they're there for functionality so I'd prefer to blend 'em in on Max.
It's possible that I overcooked the red & that a brighter red than the wine red above may be possible, as I keep forgetting that sometimes it seems to cure a bit more vivid than it looks mid-dyeing (It sometimes almost seems like there's a weird brain thing where you see more of the original colour from before you started the process, like your brain's in denial about the colour change?), and thinking it a bit pallid still I may have given it too much "oomph" I may have to try again and attempt the lighter hue. It may still be it has to be that saturated to not look wan though, I'll have to find out another time.

The upside of the OS track being tough to dye is that it seems it's also tough to shift tolerances, as you can see above the road parts still line up right, I've also tested the clips and they still clip onto roadbods.

I think that, unless I decided to sell on my excess tracks instead, I may just do a gradual shift to grey for more standard looking Cybertron-y roads.

 

Chances of getting one now have gone right down the toilet.

That... explains a lot about the 'Nautica' Titan Master head and yeah, the Blurr mold would have worked FAR better for Override. Also it might just be me but the way Nautica's turbines are attached seem kind of... slapdash? Not sure I can really explain it.

Shucks. Oh well I'll figure something out I'm sure
