That's awesome that you met him! He really made Lockdown who he is. I loved his voicework for that role (and all the others, but Lockdown the most).

I did too! I even paid early ebay prices for him (I think $30) and convinced myself that he didn't totally suck ass when I got him. That was from the days when we didn't expect actual accuracy from movie figures, since they were always done early with the concept art designs and no CADs.

Damn now you're making me wish I had a second shadow raider.

This one is my favorite.

 

My first time with this mold. So many moving parts and he even has ankle tilts! No wrong way of painting this guy at all. I really enjoy going back to these older figures!

 

It's funny how many members (myself included) have gone back and pulled this guy out of storage now that we've seen the SS version more in hand. I'm 90% sure the the RotF version will be my SS collection version.

 

Those alt mode ones in the sand are incredible, especially in front of what looks to be gorgeous mountains. Since there's nothing for apparent scale around, you could probably take them from a lower angle and convince us it's a real truck 

 

Then there are also guys like me who never had him going online to find him MISB or loose.

Good choice! That would be my favorite too if I had the new head on it. But it hadn't even been released at that point so oh well. I'll just have to go back to Iceland and bring my new challenger! I have way more from Iceland that you guys might not have seen yet.

Yours looks amazing! I'd like somebody to do something about the forearms (especially the cartoonishly big hands) as that is my only issue with the look of this awesome figure.

Is no-one else sick of hearing about Lockdown these past couple of months? Him and his buddies Self-Isolation and Quarantine

Seriously though, I do quite enjoy this figure, faults and all. He's perhaps not quite as dynamic as I'd like him to be, but he's got an astounding amount of presence for a deluxe class figure. He's also got one of the best damn head-sculpts in the entire line, which is saying something. I love the half-neutral, half-scowling expression. He's definitely judging my life choices every time I take him down off the shelf

Rotf Soundwave superior, Studio Series Soundwave inferior!

 

Even then Lockdown looked horrible. I remember seeing stores selling him until 2016.

 

Battle Blade Bumblebee from Transformers 2010 and Leader Class Optimus Prime from Revenge of the Fallen are still good. I'd argue they're even better than their Studio Series counterparts. 2010 Starscream is also superb.

Any of the non-movie characters. I'd especially recommend Lockdown, Mindwipe, and Bludgeon from the ROTF line. Arcee, Dreadwing, and Swindle from the first movie line are also good.

Offroad Bumblebee, jet Shatter, car Dropkick, Blackout, Shockwave, Ironhide, Jazz, modern Camaro Bumblebee, Bumblebee Movie Optimus Prime, any of the Megatrons, Sideseipe, Starscream, Brawl, and the Constructicons from the Studio Series line are all amazing.

 

I agree with everything except DOTM Megatron. He’s pretty awful

 

Yeah what was the comparison about BB bee from 2010 again? I think it was something about basically making the HA one into a deluxe or something along those lines. I'd go as far to say it was ahead of its time. It was expensive for so long too until WJ battle hornet came out and mpm.

I got this one too! I love the colors more than the grey on the original although it's more accurate.

 

One of the main reason I got him is because I like his G1 colors the most. I was gonna go for the red and black one but besides being way to expensive I felt like it had no connection to Soundwave. Maybe it fits Soundblaster better?

 

My all stars from older movie lines. Their repaints are good too. I sold all of them for dirt cheap but if any of these get 3P OSKO treatment, i would be all over them. Especially voyagers.
