Yeah if only the quality was better. I've been waiting so long (paid in July 2019) to get him for that initial price 158$ and I'm feeling I'm this close  

I asked ShowZ to do that in the past but they were reluctant so I agreed to wait a little more "until the pandemic ends". I think I'll try again...

 

transforming was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Halfway through I gave up on the instructions and was able to just figure it out. I could have done a better job making sure everything was connected, like that little gap on the front corner. But other than that it was great. It does feel like flaps and hinges got a little loose after transformation, but when posed in robot mode that stuff won’t really matter.

Im not even going to worry about removing the wheel caps, we mostly see him in cybertronian mode anyway so it’s no big deal. One flaw is one earth smokestack appears to be fused to the plastic in one spot so it’s not shifting up and down (not a huge deal for me but something someone else might hate)
I haven’t had a lot of free time so it’s been a multi day process for me, today I’ll check out the accessories and maybe this weekend I’ll find a space for him on my shelf.

in the end, I’ll give it an 8/10. It’s a fantastic addition to my collection, if the loose joints, chest, and other issues were addressed and it was a perfect version of the mold I’d probably give it an 11/10 and figure of the year if that wasn’t already given to studio cell.

Funny how if an official MPM has a tiny flaw like a gap in alt mode or a loose joint people curse the whole line like it's poison and "not deserving of the masterpiece name" and c'mon hasbro you need to do better and shit like that.

I'm definitely gonna sell, just a question of when. I already used future on the wrists and added autobot symbols, so he's not in "mint condition", but you could argue that he's better than mint! Every time I pick him up cause he looks cool, I get mad at something. He can't hold a weapon up, you can't lift his arm up without unlocking the torso, and the faceplate sags down occasionally. Definitely gonna sell.

 

Still get the warm fuzzy feelings every time I look at my copy in my display case.

 

Quick question, but am i supposed to use the preformed hands for weapons. Its not an just an issue of wrist strength for me, its that none of the weapons really tab in to the normal hands, its like the slot on the hand isn't deep enough for 1, and for 2, if i do get it tabed in, the guns are so big they hit the forearm unless the wrist is in 1 very specific position, which obviously its hard to keep it in with floppy wrists. (seriouslly, the gun handles should have been a tad longer so you had more clearance with the forearms).

On the upside, i did manage to get the chest tabed in, if anyone has a video of how to do it easier please let me know, the pictures werent bad but it still took me 20+ tries. I also found out where my extra gray piece went, its part of the spine and it just tabs in on top and i guess it was supposed to be glued on but wasnt so it just pops out, not a huge deal.

 

My tracking updated and it's out for delivery. Very nervous, I hope I get a good copy as in no damage. The other stuff I can modify as I go.

At minimum, looking forward to putting him on my shelf next to Bumblebee (Pioneer)

I’m really happy about the stand, I’m never great at balancing figures in poses I like so now I don’t even have to begin to worry.

 

The preformed hands aren't any better because they DON'T HAVE A SLOT FOR THE GUN PEG. So idiotic. They're not any better at holding shit because of that, despite the tighter fit on the wrist. The gun hangs limply just like on the regular hands. And yes, the peg is too shallow for the regular hand anyways so the weapon falls out half the time because of that too. And add in the blast effects and this figure has no chance of holding anything. These are things that almost every other MP-level figure I have does perfectly. This is what he ends up looking like most of the time:

 

I’m just gonna go for a two handed weapon hold pose. Or even the fists out ready to fight pose. I’m not sure, but Having to hold off and only check it out an hour or so a night kinda sucks.
I can’t wait to see him with his eye lights and pioneer with all of its lights next to eachother

It’s not that terrible of a figure! If this was a fanstoys release with the same issue it would get a pass on all the hate and be reselling for $600+

 

This is hilariously true. Especially since some of their figures straight up break without doing anything and everyone’s reaction is “‘it’s fine, just contact for a replacement”. FT is supreme ruler after all.

 

It really is great. Like I said, if stuff wasn’t loose and the chest was better it would be a perfect mold and transformer.

also if FT made it, if it was ever released, then things would be twice as loose and sketchy.

 

Mine just arrived about an hour ago and... It's nothing short of an epic looking piece. Keep in mind, I have not transformed it yet but as a figure, I have handled much worse.

I got the chest in it's proper place easy enough, and the wrists on mine are strong enough if I position them right. I find that moving them back and toward the outer part of his forearm will make it more stable. They're loose but not floppy, Deadpool broken wrists loose.

I did already manage to break off the little piece that extends from the barrel of his Ion Blasters, but that is one me for dropping it onto tiled floor.

I do like the alt head better, but we already know the deal with this.

So, first impressions, Amazing but again... I haven't even begun to delve into this guy.

Also, the RoboCop gun fits in Bumblebee's (Pioneer's) hand nicely.

 

Not to hijack the thread, but I like fanstoys releases don't get me wrong, but look at what they've put out.

• Sovereign - Nightmare tolerances, and side torso panels that won't stay put. Screw hole covers on the arms that won't stay in, and a peg for the canon that is too short to stay attached.
• Sheridan - That leg..
• Airelbots - That leg...
• Rouge - I refuse to transform it from videos alone
• Jabber - WTF is up with the little fragile panels in..... you guessed it, the legs. Can't securely hold his gun.
• Tesla V1 - crumbles on sight
• Koot - tolerance issues (haven't transformed mine personally)

This is just fro the stuff I personally have minus the Airelbots. Yet everything on the list resales for way more than original retail, and people keep buying there stuff up while it's still in preorder status. To end the rant, I am glad I got Freedom Leader, so far it's favorite buy for 2020 on the TF side of things.
