Looking at this on my shelf and I can't really ever imagining myself swapping this out for anything else. From a G1 look it's pretty much the definitive version of the character in MP scale for me.

Since I've seen quite a few posts sounding like they are making this repair far harder than it needs to be (just an observation, I mean no offense), here's a few tips from an experienced customizer:
    1. Put a magnet on your work surface. Drop the screws on that and they won't be rolling around or getting lost
    2. Drop small plastic parts in a cup, Dixie cup, etc. That will keep them from skittering to the floor should you bump into them
    3. The white pieces with the mushroom peg can be unscrewed and flipped around as well. Do this and you won't have screws on the front

Got my legs fixed, took about 15 minutes, just a paint to try to pull back the top of the thigh as minimally as possible while keeping the little hip angled properly but it worked out with no issues.

How do you guys get the stock head off? And how do you get the face off the new head, it all seems pretty immovable.

With great difficulty, I felt like I was going snap the head off the neck!

Damn yeah, I gave it about as much pull as I thought it could handle without snapping but it’s not budging so far.

Edit: ok finally got it. Does the second head have to split first to change the face or can I just pull the face out?

I think that one pulls straight out as you can't unscrew. I think? I actually didn't bother changing that one.

You have to separate the two halves of the head. The first time you do it, you'll need a tool like a spudger to start it. After that, it gets easier. I used my little bit of a fingernail to split them today.

Very much a miles may vary situation I think when it comes to the hip/leg fix. Getting one piece out so I could detach the leg was tough but getting it back in was a nightmare. As someone said earlier it felt like I needed 3 hands.

Took a while to get him all fixed up but he’s fantastic, FT is gonna have a hard time beating this, I’m glad they have some competition to inspire some need to impress.

Also, yeah the 2nd head just needs to be pried apart, thanks:

Wow. Yeah, mine popped free easily and slid right back in on both legs like butter. I read the damning reports of insane fixes and was freaking out.

Thanks for sharing these photos. I can't even get the first head off without man-handling the unit. I don't want to break that black plastic of a neck ball joint.

Yeah getting that head off is scary, try to get leverage Pulling the shoulders away from the head so nothing can move but the neck joint and it should go.

It doesn’t go back on that easy either, so be sure you know which face you want!

Just received mine and I'm done with Mirage. This is the definitive version of the cartoon character to me. Just beautiful and mine has great paint and tight joints.

I think this is my new favorite 3P MP company. Their shit looks JUST like the cartoon and their transformation engineering is nothing short of brilliant for their 2 MP offerings so far. This thing had gorgeous paint and a flawless face sculpt too. Their optimus' season 1 helmet just KILLS MP 44s.

Lol... no on the MP-44 part, seeing as they are the same. TE pretty much just copied it. But it still is an amazing figure. I own both him and 44.

    Best Regards,

OH yeah got mine delivered but won't be able to get my hands on it for another 5 weeks of lockdown. Had my mum take picture of it for me.
