I think Raw Underground is meant to be a 2020 update to the squash match. You never see two main roster members fight each other in Raw Underground. They destroy nobodies and look good. And its so fast, you arent bored with the squash, unlike those plodding slow squashes Nia and others get. Raw Underground is that reminder that everyone on the main roster is some kind of super person in terms of strength, skill, whatever, when compared to normal athletic people.

Introduce a new big man with minimal wrestling ability. Squash match.

Reintroducing Ziggler as a badass ... squash match.

Reminding us that The Viking Raiders can be tough after months of comedy crap... squash match

Helping rebound with Shayna after a few big losses.... 3 way squash match.

It's not a bad idea, so long as they dont overdo it.

More likely than not, their internal investigation showed that there wasnt solid evidence he did something wrong or that the stuff used to accuse him was fraudulent.

With the world as it is, right now, WWE isnt going to take a chance on an accused child predator staying on the roster unless they believed he was somewhat innocent. They've fired other accused individuals from the Speak Out Movement for less.
