These are either my actual favorites and/or the ones I worked on the most.

1. Various Omega Supreme Mods

Custom clear resin face shield, resin face (base beige color, spray painted lower face pure orange, hand painted gray sides), LED eyes with resin eyes and switch (not the poorly done SL kit that removes the eyes), resin candy red window, and resin cannon tip (allows me to place fishing lure LEDs inside, also not SL kit).




2. Predaking purple LED saber (based on purple saber he used in G1 cartoon...for like 3 seconds).

Making a normal sized saber would've been ridiculously easier. Anyhow, I normally don't show too many pics of the hilt deco, which uses a method of transferring ink to metal.

 

Amazing work on Omega Supreme! (The sword is awesome, as well!)

I've got some of my favorite customs below:

IRONHIDE


Went all out on repainting Ironhide, primarily getting rid of the blue jeans, but also including the FansWantIt weapon set so it all matched. What really amazed me was how much detail was in his face with the mask removed. The eyes had this 'bat' look to them, but the molding in the plastic turned out to be pretty spot on.



After painting him up, all those details came right out to the front.

ROADWRECK


Never liked the ugly head he came with, and I hated the hands and claw things. So got rid of them! This was the first figure where I actually remade an articulation point, using Armored Core hands and utilizing a channel on the arm, plus pieces of styrene to hold the hand in place and cover everything up. Both hands swivel, and they just look better. The head comes from a Power Core Combiners Spotlight, the combiner head in particular. Cut down the long chin to make him look better. Painted to match, and I have a brand new character, Roadwreck!

READ OUT


During the old PS3 WFC days, I made a custom multiplayer character out of the Arcee model and named her Read Out. I decided to take the Animated Arcee and make the character out of her, using a molded copy of the Botcon Roulette head (shaved off the antennae and chin strap to make her look a bit different). Built a neck that would stay put inside the figure and glued the head onto it. Then painted to match the colors I'd selected in the game.

But I also went the extra step of painting fluorescent pink for the glowing red "Tron" effect in the game. And it does indeed glow under black light:





It was a total pain in the ass to paint, since the 'paint' would sometimes fill in the tech lines, but the fluorescent fluid wouldn't. Or (worse) vice versa, and I would end up with what looked like a clean surface in regular light, but would have a blotched pink glow outside the lines under the black light. Finally got everything filled in like I wanted, and she still looks awesome!  

 

I love seeing everyone's favorites! Here's a few of mine.

Transmetal Megatron. I still haven't fixed his fan blades. I still love him. Yes. Oh, and he has a tiny duck he can hold.



Swift was fun but a lot more work than you'd think.



Anode and Lug. There are better looking heads for each on Shapeways but I'm really proud of this work. I still need to redo Lug's chest details. Oh, and Lug also turns into a backpack computer that Anode can wear but it doesn't look particularly good at all.



And Strika. I'm glad I'm not sharing a page with Fuhzimota's! I'm still really happy with this presentation of the IDW version of the character.



I'm very happy with the heads. Every one was made or altered by hand. Megs and Lug have molded heads cast from other characters. Swift, Anode, and Strika had theirs frankensteined from unwanted heads, putty, and bits of plastic. They aren't perfect, especially when you look really closely at Anode's face, but I'm super proud.

 

These are all badass but as someone somewhat obsessed with fembots, wow! I love Read Out! She looks great and the tron lines thing is genius!
Is she able to transform?

Fantastic! Lug and Anode customs always make me happy <3 and Strika looks Stronk! Also Megatron, oh yessssss!

 

Well, I think your Anode and Lug are extremely well done, as well as your Strika! (You can't ever have too much Strika, IMO.) We need more fembots, great work all around!

 

I would have to say that my most favorite build is the one I never planned on doing.....my MP Erector





Then my Zeta scaled Abominus and Computron

 

I love your combiner customs, but that MP Erector is perfect!

 

Thanks! And yes, not nearly enough fembots, so I tend to make extra characters (this one was done because the "animated" look didn't quite work, but with a new head she seems to mesh better with the crew).

And yes, she does still transform:



There's definitely been some wear on her paint over the years. Luckily, metallic paints like these tend to be easily touched up without looking splotchy. I'll have to try and clean her up one of these days.


And the tech lines work nicely in both modes!
