Personally I FRIKKEN LOVE IT! Preordered.
 

 

I like this way better then airwave I liked grease pit better then ironworks but I\'m not buying decepticons anymore.
its just to bad this is a select because I\'d like to get 4 that\'s usually the number I go to when buying modulars.

 

Airwave was in the ten pack with Ironworks.

 

The fire station had treads and could convert into a tank. They probably chose Airwave because he's the only one of the two with treads in alt mode, and can assume a vague tank-like form with his artillery mode or whatever it's called. Although yeah, the Fire House's base mode uses the same layout as the Junkyard and Gas Station.

 

Like the look of him, but I feel they should've made his tower/gun orange to match a bit better with his g1 base.

 

The store's social accounts are getting to do the reveals, but all signs point to them still being available at all the usual places Selects are.

 

For Hot House I'm thinking of two ways either HOT DAMN! or HOT MESS! Just my assumptions. Doesn't look too bad, but it is what it is.

 

What color are fire trucks in your world?

 

He's got his own thing going on. Not labeled Selects but also not WfC. The "Alternative Universe" thing is the only real hint that he's not part of whatever they're doing in Generations at the moment.

They already reused him for Greasepit.

not bad, but nothing Incredible either. Airwaves alt modes were a little ropey to begin with so trying to squish another base concept into them didn't work as well as it did with ironworks.

Ironworks and Greasepit both had very distinct alt modes just by moving around a bit of the kibble, this just looks like red airwave. That's not to say there's anything wrong with a recolor, it's just weird since most Gen Selects seem to have some original molding. Hothouse is purely color swaps.

Glad some people are getting pumped for this one, but I'll be sitting it out. if anything it just makes me more excited for whatever our next base modulator is.

 

While I have no issues with this, I think it is viewed by Hasbro as the "weakest" of the reveals so they got it out of the way first and the others will look great by comparison. At least I hope so...

Not sure if they spread the budget around the different figures in Selects like they seem to do in the mainline, but if that's the case maybe this straight redeco means more chances for new heads/accessories for the next 4 reveals.

 

FYI, there's going to be an "unboxing video" of HotHouse going up at some point later today. So we may get a better feel for how this mold comes together in general.

It looks like the pieces that make the tower were already molded in orange (yellowish orange?) plastic, and then painted over. Note the pegs and peg hole.

 

Greasepit is literally ironworks in different colours. Do you know why? Because its a repaint. Hothouse is as different from airwave as greasepit is from ironworks. I assume youre talking about the blue that was used? Different shades on both of them. Just say you personally dont like it. Calling it the exact same thing except for one colour is doing the toy a disservice.

It's a typo.. It's supposed to say "No! It Ate Erif!" Poor Erif... He gets no luck!
