You should wait. I had to do the fix, which wasn't great. His left arm flap broke, but luckily it stays on even without the bolt and parts keep falling off of him while transforming. Like his steering wheel, and a blue triangular part from his leg.

It's a great figure. I believe the Transformation is elegant and has some masterpiece moments, like the turning of the legs. But there is no need to rush.

Scan the QR code on the side of the box. It takes you to a video transformation instead.

It sucks to hear of so many QC issues. Their Optimus and Movie Bee releases were pretty solid [the ones I got, anyway]

Mine has been listed as “released from customs” for 4 days, but appeared on my porch this morning (still hasn’t been updated to delivered!). Finally got to mess with him a bit, add an Autobot water slide, and switched to the alt head. Leg switch was super easy. Took literally 4 1/2 minutes to do both legs. No pin punching required. Just GENTLY sliding the o-ring apart, flip the hip, then gently sliding the o-ring together and screw back together. Knees are fine.

beauty of a figure. Looks phenomenal. A tad loose in most joints, but a little dab of floor polish and he’s a-ok.

cosmetically he’s pretty good. Paint looks great. My only “issue” is his left leg has a minor slash on his shin that was there before I did the hip fix. Is it ugly, yes. It’s not as noticeable if he’s standing in a group of Autobots.

better than Sphinx? Definitely. My Sphinx refuses to stand, even with floor polish. He’s utilizing a figurarts stand. My Sphinx will be reduced to race car mode with Speedy as my new display Mirage. Worth $100 domestic? Iffy. $70-85 is definitely more on the money, but I still think it’s a tad high for as little as was included for accessories.

If you have access to a decent printer it's easier and more cost effective to print your own using the templates on these forums and some waterslide paper. The results are pretty good (I went with a slightly smaller one for mine).

I've posted this at least twice now, but you can't just rotate the leg as the thigh cuts are different on both sides and it looks super weird.

I don't get it, the thighs would still be facing the same side. The only parts that would be positionned differently would be "spherical" joints hidden by the flaps. Sorry if that sounds stupid if it's obvious to you but not having the figure in hands make it looks like it's doable.

No, they wouldn't, as they're not symmetrical. As I've said, I do have the figure and the thigh cuts are different. Over half of the screw is visible if you do what you're suggesting. Unfortunately you have to take them off to rotate the hip joint.

I don't know why this persists. The freaking designer thanked the videos for showing how to fix it. If the results were identical save the screw facing a different direction, you'd think he'd have pointed that out, no?
