Sure but up until 2 months ago, this was a WJ item. I don't think in 2 months it would suddenly take a quality nose dive.

Damn, the quality issues are really concerning. I really liked the design of M09. I sent an order cancellation request to ShowZ and will wait and see what the fallout is for this figure once it people have it in their hands here.

I didn't really plan to buy this as my main Optimus, was sorta hoping to grab it as a Nemesis or SG repaint, but barring some significant upgrades later on, seems like this is a pass, which is frustrating both for my other WJ and TF Dream Factory figures. The TW Optimus really isn't something I'd likely consider either, and a non-transforming figure just isn't for me. BUT! This means both ToyLab and TransCraft are both in really unique positions to fully commit to their own versions of this character AND give me the chance to buy an Optimus and Nemesis deco to grab each mold without double-dipping!

Glad I canceled. I'd rather have a regular sized version, to scale with the TE Bee.

I'm really rooting for TC since I have their Beetlebee preordered.

Don't know, I've seen a couple of minutes. I prefer an incredibly representation of an accurate OP sacrificing the transformable option. TW09 and M09 don't fill my needings, at least my choice is DLX ThreeZero. If ToyLab or Transcraft makes a really good transformable OP, I will buy it... But in these times of pandemic is very difficult to trust in the quality control of the 3rd parties.

I mean compared to the first video, this guy's copy doesn't seem as floppy, but then again he doesn't really spend much time showing articulation etc. But, sure let's go ahead and spend several minutes talking about some tribal-looking mask instead, why not?

I think it's funny that 1. He baby handled M09, and 2. He took the time to show the ratchet joints going forward and backwards on the legs, but completely failed to show him doing the splits to show the lack outwards ratchet.

This was a very biased review!!

To be honest, it seems like you’re very biased towards every impression of the figure being a bad one. Not everyone handles their toys with intense play or movement, and some people enjoy a product for its aesthetics and not necessarily its accuracy.

I’m not saying I’m one of those people, and I’m not saying these QC issues are excusable. But we’ve had a few pages of news about Chinese customers being dissatisfied, we don’t necessarily need to hear more people harp on how awful this figure is without holding one in their hands.

If you canceled your preorder, great. Wait until some board members get their copies. If you haven’t, your dread is already palpable. Misery might love company, but it doesn’t need to have a party.

Bro, look at ALL my previous comments about this figure before you come on here and accuse me of being biased. It'll keep you from putting your foot in your mouth next time.

I'm all good with that, and you have all seen that I've been respectful. That said, letting people slide for accusing me of something I didn't do isn't something I do.

The more videos I see of M09, the more I think I'm going to like him, even with the "missing" shoulder ratchets. I think what is happening, isn't that people are babying the figure, it's that he seems to be quite heavy. I will surely try my best to do ANY review of mine when it comes in...60 days! :p

No foot in no mouth. It was a broad statement, albeit one that’s kind of tired of the only place of consistent discourse going on about this product being negative.

It wasn’t an attack on your character.

I'm looking forward to this figure, but with some apprehension. TW Optimus, while beautiful to look at, suffers from major design and QC problems. This looks to suffer from different but equally problematic issues. That whole ankle assembly looks very, very dodgy. This is a big, and apparently hefty, figure. To support all that weight on two slim pieces of plastic was a poor decision.

I hope it turns out to at least be decent, but I'm sure we'll be reading about feet snapping off in a few months.

Sir, I've addressed this with you before. You have already committed to a review, and therefore, a review is expected. :D
Please quote me when replying to me so that I'm directly aware that you replied to me, just like you did the first time.

That said, allow me to quote you:

"To be honest, it seems like you’re very biased towards every impression of the figure being a bad one."

That was not a broad statement, that was a statement directed at me. So yea, I would call that a foot in the mouth.

There was nothing biased about my statement. The reviewer did not give the figure a fair review. I would've had the same opinion even if I hadn't known all the bad things about the figure.

Just so you know, I was one of the biggest defenders of this figure and even replied to TW's FL owners that came on here just to shit on the figure.

That said, as much as I wanted this toy, and wanted for it to be great, I'd be naive to expect anything positive from it, other than its good looks.

I, to this day, still have MP01, which was a highly sought after toy, and he was complete shit straight out if the box, with leg joints that couldn't support the weight of the figure when being posed, floppy wrists and floppy shoulders. Oh and lets not forget the chipping paint syndrome.

For me, personally, M09 is just repeating that same story, only worse. As much as MP01 sucks, everything on him was made to last, and I'm not sure that I can say the same for M09 with it just having plastic supporting a lot of the weight.

To go back to the original issue, collectors like us, who are waiting on every bit of information on a figure we are waiting on, want a detailed review of said figure. And only showing the good things about a figure is disservice to us all.

I'm not gonna censor myself for anyone, whether it be with the gushing comments that I may have for a figure, like I did for this one, or negative comments. So if you don't like what I say, feel free to block me.

    "Let's put die cast everywhere but in the load-bearing parts of the toy, people love P R E M I U M H E F T". I swear.

Well, what can I say other than “I need to read posts more closely?” I will reiterate that it wasn’t an attack on your character or previous posts, but I do owe you an apology for a variety of reasons. Not sure if you noticed or what have you, but I come from a much older version of the site and I haven’t posted in a while, which has changed due to my interest in 3rd Party releases- which makes me feel like a bit of a harbinger of doom, what with all the goings-on. The alert system is new to me, as is the pace of the site being much faster, so I don’t want you to think I’m deliberately attempting to circumvent your view or whatnot. Similarly, there are a number of names that I used to be very familiar with on the site and it was easier then for me to identify people form post to post. I feel like a newbie in a few ways, and that’s embarrassing to admit. However, it seems like I shouldn’t have quoted you the first time, because what was meant to be a broader comment was instead directed at your remark that is definitely not indicative of your previous statements.

Your comments on MP01 strike true with me, as it was a toy I was obsessed with purchasing for a long time until I actually received a copy and was... pretty disappointed. I hope that won’t be the case with M-09 but there does seem to be a great deal of bad news coming this way. I suppose it’s only fair that I whip up a review myself once my copy arrives, seeing as I’ve made a fool of myself here. But I’ll reiterate, I refuse to put my foot in my mouth. I may have the articulation for it (unlike M-09...), but that doesn’t mean I want to do it.
