Look, I didn't think the tone of the article was necessary, but who cares if it did take him an hour or why it took him an hour?

We've already seen transformation videos during the campaign so we know how involved it is. So anyone who bought in wasn't doing so blind.

It's a nothing-burger.

 

Maybe it takes an hour to do a full transformation, planet to robot back to planet

 

It's also worth mentioning that he's messing with a prototype vs the full production version we'll be getting which will likely be transformed less carefully, but still more so than you're average deluxe.

 

I just really hope that the final instructions aren't photos. I can't stand it when you get a blurry image of the figure and you can't figure out what the hell it's telling you to do.

 

I can't afford this. So I settled for 01-Cell. But man, I wish I could get my hands on this one. The Planet mode to me is amazing. I am not the worlds biggest fan when it comes to all the kibble on him in bot mode. But ALL HasTak Unicrons have had kibble, so I am not mad about it. I just wish with the price, they could of cleaned him up some. I have enjoyed the update videos Haslab has been posting on him. I think by final test, you all are going to have one great figure, which you should for the price you are paying.

Beautiful figure either way, and I am happy for those who were able to get one. I can't wait for when he ships out and everyone is taking pictures for me to drool at.

They might go with the CGI render instructions, it does say they're just trying to get photo references first as a base.

 

He's also likely field testing the instructions. Making sure they cover everything, are clear, and don't cause confusion about what is moving where.

Which is especially important with something so large. Most TFs you can fake your way through once you've got them in hand. But this guy is big and heavy.... don't want to risk something throwing off the balance of causing anything to have too much weight in the wrong place.

Hell, transforming the thing is probably a test in itself. Does its spine snap in half if you pivot the backpack wrong?

 

Yah - mine is meant to take pride of place at my display at work. Hopefully I'll be back in at the office before this behemoth ships!

 

You've got a workspace big enough to put this there? I *used* to have a desk big enough for a titan (if inclined) until they moved me to an "open floor plan" style table.

 

Seems to me that the line art of recent years has been FAR worse than photos.

And why are we assuming photos would be blurry? Surely CLEAR photos are to be expected, especially on a figure such as this?

Agreed. Especially since they're shrinking the images down. It's not too bad with the Generations stuff, as most of that is pretty intuitive...but Studio Series is a whole other story. I've had to use guys like Peaugh and Benscollectibles to help walk through how to transform those.

Yeah possibly like the Armada one with the CGI outline and highlighted moving parts. We gotta wait and see though.

I have no idea if they planned for extra copies or extra parts etc

 

Or they could send you 30 deluxe figures! You wouldn't mind getting a full set of Earthrise and Siege figures you already have, would you? Maybe you'd even get lucky and they'd send 30 of the same figure. Score!
