"Omg no one ever looked for me, I was abandoned!"
Me: Everyone was stuck in a coma for millions of years, dumbass! Why didn't you look for them, especially since you know the Ark went down?

Nah man, Cyberverse is the best Transformers show to ever come out! The writing, voice acting, and character development are stuff of legends! With this masterpiece along with Siege, I am so excited to see what the future holds in store!

Glad I got his toy, still wish he could get a deluxe with the poncho too. Great episode - pity he got added to the cast so late when the show was almost over.
Also, guess in this universe, humans learned of Cybertronians well before 1984. AFter all, his wanted poster was right up there with Butch Cassidy and Billy the Kid. (And Doc Holliday... I thought he was a lawman, no? Or just became one?)
Great way it is led up slowly to him questioning people and making his way to Prime's location. I feel for the guy, but I feel he went bad as a choice, after all, he could have rejoined them even after his fight with Optimus. Guess he has done too much bad stuff to ever trust anyone again. Makes you wonder though, how did he get energon in the 1800s?

He didn't know... he fell out of the Ark while in a stasis pod. He assumed the Ark was destroyed, likely. Only found out later that Prime was alive, and was obssessed with revenge. Classics story, really, had seen it in other media too.

When the TVrips are 1080p, a 480p DVD is kind of a downgrade, y'know. I am hoping they release these shows on BR eventually.

Writing wise this didn't feel like a whole episode. Like this was just the first act and in the second we see him actually take down prime, feel some sort of remorse before there's some sort of confusion and he doubles down on his turn to the decepticons. But that never happens WW just kinda shows up.

Also once again Megatron being just a good dude this episode. Saw a new criminal element in his kingdom and took the time to not only talk to him and understand his point of view but Megatron goes that extra step to offer him a job and new home. Megatron is truly the leader we need. Megatron really seems to get the idea that behind every criminal is a person with a story and he really connects with them and puts them on the path to both inner peace but also fitting into the community in a way that benefits all Decepticons.

Being that I am a huge spaghetti western fan, OMG I love Wild Wheel. I must have 'bot with no name' crossover. Although, I am sad that the upcoming toy looks pretty crappy. I may have to get it and sew a pancho to cover all the gaps.

If I could find a better body mold to represent him, I might just have to do a custom.

Why didnt stop to think that if he survived that maybe others did too? Like, instead of playing cowboys he literally could have gone out to look for his comrades, even if he just expected to find, at worst, their corpses. He had all the time in the world, or rather WORLDS since he claims he visited other planets.

It sucks what he went through but he literally did nothing about it but roleplay on Earth before planet hopping instead of looking for his comrades on Earth who for all we know probably did go looking for him offscreen once they awoke, but then again that would have been too good of an arc for this show to touch upon, let alone write well.

Every time I see Perceptor show up in an episode my attention is immediately called to the lack of a proper Warrior class (or any class) Cyberverse Perceptor in the line.

Agreed. For the episodic shows like G1, this would be a reasonable premise (Wild Wheel's in the mold of Devcon, but with more of a poncho) but after two and a half seasons of mostly arc-style stories it feels tacked on. Four episodes of the final A-D confrontation on Cybertron ... sharp pivot to 14 episodes of Quintessons ... then a couple of standalones. Perhaps Hasbro realized they had a few remaining toys (Thunderhowl, Wild Wheel, ...?) whose characters hadn't yet been showcased? Maybe there were budgeting issues that relegated these new CGI models to the end of the season?

In G1, with 22 minutes there's more room for the narrative. With only 11 minutes you've got to be efficient, and devoting most of the ep to finding Optimus -- Dirge and Ramjet > Megatron > fence > saloon > Cobalt City -- is poor pacing. And then the fight is "oops, I lost, I repudiate your faction". There's no depth to Optimus's reaction, and a third character voicing the counter raised above -- "we were in stasis lock, why didn't you look for us? Grimlock did" -- would've been welcome.

Also, I'm getting really tired that every single unnamed Autobot is the same CGI model, with paint swaps. Not even cheap-to-model variation like differently-shaped doors on the forearms, or shoulder flanges. For that matter, the fact that all the heavily lifting of reconstruction is being done by, essentially, muscle power -- do Autobots not know how to build cranes? winches for mechanical advantage? -- is getting absurd.

I have the figure and he's cool for sure, but without that awesome poncho... he's only half a bot.

How would he have done that? The Earth is pretty big, and he was one Bot with some guns and no equipment.
Need I remind you, in the Bayverse movies TONS of TFs were on Earth and nobody ever found Megatron, the Allspark, the Energon Harvester or Sentinel Prime's body on the Moon?
    Need I go on? ;)
We need a Deluxe toy of that Autobot model, as well as a Seeker model, so it can be repainted many times... I'd buy a Siege Rainmaker-like multipack of those.

I think it was pretty clear that same way as some episodes of S2 were crammed into S3, much of what we got after the Quintessons were defeated was a shortened Season 4 crammed into S3. They did the best with what time they had, and yes, likely Hasbro mandated them to feature new characters like Meteorfire, Wildwheel and Hammerbyte, so they can sell toys. Even so, these episode do some nice worldbuilding, even if I wish they could have gotten a whole season.
He has issues with the legs - not very poseable there - but he has a lot of character and I love how he can store his pistols in the hips. Also, that hat fits a lot of Bots! Chromia and Astrotrain can make it work well.:)
Yeah, and so many others too. Maybe the next Deluxe wave will have him as a build-a-figure? He never transformed in the show, after all.

Your boy Hotwheels (or whatever his name is) spent his time cosplaying as a cowboy and traveled to multiple planets, plenty of time to scout 1 planet. But he didn't even try.
That's plenty enough time to get somewhere.

Need I remind you that in Bayvserse both Autobots and Decepticons eventually DID find the Allspark and Megatron after their search took them to hacking through top secret government files and getting to Sam?
Need I remind you that The Fallen had seekers on Earth to look for the deliberately hidden Matrix, not the machine which they already knew the location of? Need I remind you that the cons already knew Sentinel was on the moon and only needed the Autobots to find out in order to have them reactivate Sentinel with the Matrix? The Autobots didn't even know Sentinel was in the solar system until they found the piece of the Ark. After one session of being briefed on the truth behind the Space Race of the 60's they immidiately flew their ass to the moon to retrieve Sentinel.

Case in point, they looked and eventually found. Wheels here on the other hand wasted time touring in cosplay and throwing a fit like a child.

Slightly OT, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for an RiD01 DVD release in our region - Saban handled the dub and release over here, which now technically means it's owned by Disney, which makes this whole thing a licensing quagmire for everyone involved.

Just thought I'd post these. :)
    IMG_6027.jpg IMG_6029.jpg IMG_6030.jpg

Those were whole armies of seekers. He was one bot, in the 1800, lacking energon. Even travelling from America would have been something he could not have done easily. We do know he got off Earth way before everyone woke up, though. Maybe some aliens took him, we saw how he travels.
Also Hotwheels? No need to get insulting.

I thought RID was only released on DVD in full in Australia no? As for regions, I care little about that, that's what VLC player is for. ;)

And? The seekers in ROTF are not even relevent to the main argument, I just mentioned them because you incorrectly addressed.
Oh yeah, no totally, the guy doesn't have the energon to scout America, but he totally has the energon to leave the planet and visit a few others long enough to be outlawed on each one too. I'm not gonna bother with your "maybe he was kidnapped by aliens" because there is nothing to base that argument of off nor does the show address it.

Really gotta catch up on these Cyberverse episodes. They ain’t Shakespeare, but they’re fun.

To those complaining this guy needs a toy, he already had one. Conversely, there was a toy, late in Beast Wars that needed a story, this works nicely.
