You didn't get the 2 week shipping? That's a terribly long wait!

I saw some people saying the shipping was all over the place for ShowZ. The only option I had for shipping was the 2 week one and that was only 6 bucks D:
    the other
was $100 one week shipping lol how strange

The last product I got I paid for the faster shipping. Took two months lol. This was in peak corona though.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before, but what is the approximate weight of the figure? It would be nice to know if it feels solid or more kind of light.

I don’t think it’s been mentioned but we saw the figure in all it’s separate components fresh off the sprues at some point in this thread- no diecast that I recall and average looking plastic, maybe a little thin; it gave me a model kit vibe- so I’d guess that it’s not going to be particularly heavy. Their Transmutate is incredibly light.

Not light enough that it didn't need a replacement spine. Those ever go out btw? I wasn't stressing over getting replacements cuz she was hunched up all the time anyway.

It doesn't have any alloy parts. But I heard it does feel solid because of ratchets used.

Articulation joints are fine to be loose (or ratcheted, as this guy's appear to be). I'm referring to the transformation joints, or at least what few there are - you see Lichlute forever fiddling with that backpack assembly in gorilla mode because the "arms" connecting the shoulder pads have rolled away from where they're supposed to be (made worse by the shelf they form as if their inclusion was a last-ditch effort by the designers to combat a problem they never saw coming).

That they're true to the original, in-show model makes it feel (to me, at least) that they should have had more consideration taken. Sure have them hang about behind his legs in the open since that's what they're meant to do. But give them some means to STAY behind his legs rather than hopes and dreams. None of the reviews I've watched even seem to be able to agree about how they're meant to be located - only where (which is just a generic "behind the legs" ballpark).

I may be mistaken in it, but I've always understood "kibble" to be parts that just kinda hang around (usually on the back of a figure, but not always - see PotP Volcanicus' limbs', well, limbs) because there's nowhere else for them to go. If it's source-accurate I don't include it.

I see what you mean now.
I really don’t think those lower robot legs are going to be an issue though. Both knee joints are also ratcheted so once you fold the lower legs back behind the thighs they aren’t going anywhere. The joint itself is the lock in a sense which negates the use of a peg which would break the sculpt and diminish the aesthetic of the figure.
The original figure has pegs for the torso-hugging parts of the backplate to tab into in beast mode which holds it in nicely but are a tad unsightly when exposed in robot mode so I guess here we have a slight trade-off where the backplate is held In place by friction to allow for a sleeker bot mode.

I appreciate that they’ve done away with any potential eyesores like that, the large peg on the thigh for holstering the gun, intrusive transformation joints and visible screw holes. It definitely leans in to your view of this being more of a display piece.

Lucky for me that’s exactly what I’m in the game for. I’ll spend hours futzing a 1/6 figure just to make sure it has the right kind of creases on the clothing so positioning parts to be exactly where I want them is what I’m all about.

This is looking way more high end than I would have believed TA we’re capable of after Transmutate so the higher-than-predicted price point seems more reasonable now.

Yeah, that's a fair call. I'm sure something could have been done to get the best of both worlds (something in the underarm, perhaps?) but I guess if you look at it as being a trade-off between "stability" (even though the figure is perfectly stable, I'm not sure what other word to use) and breaking up that rather wonderful finish, they more-likely-than-not made the right choice.

Though, credit where it's due, I do like how they hid the peg hole in gorilla mode. Would not have picked it from greebling if I'd seen that form first.

The knees... yeah, I'm dubious. I guess you'd probably get a feel for where they should sit in the ratchets, but the board mode in particular is gonna be a case of eye-balling it for a long while and hoping you can get the feet aligned properly. Though it's possibly more the feet than the knees that bother me since they're just ball joints, and not even ratchets.

Ugh! Worst! Character! Ever! That they even made a figure of it is mind boggling. It's possible to make a likeable "childlike", "low intelligence", or outright "mentally handicapped" character (see: Max Hass in Wolfenstein: The New Order) but that guy... just... no.

That was seriously fast, where do you live if you don't mind sharing? I live in Chicago, IL and it has been a little over a week now for me. No tracking info beside the beginning jargon of "label has been created..."

I live in California so that probably has something to do with it. But, I have order from them before and it has always taken at least three weeks to a month. Regardless, super happy can’t wait to post pics later.

Did you use their new $6 shipping they have?

I did, and had an item ship out Monday that hit my post office this morning.

Guess that extra $6 is worth it. :lol
