Anyone getting it from the first shipment of the first batch (there's two shipments in the first batch) will have a risk of surgery being required.

Those in the second shipment of the first batch shouldn't have to do the fix, and neither should the second batch due in a couple of months.

Not too worried about doing it, but would be happy to win the proverbial hip lottery too!

 

People should start getting the 2nd shipping group soon. Hopefully we'll see some updates of those people celebrating uncontrollably at not having to get the spudger out pretty soon!

 

According to tracking, mine has been in my city since 8/4. Apparently it takes 6 days to depart from distribution center to arrive at my local post office. Weird because that only used to take a few hours.

 

Mine just came in today. Had to do the fix to both legs, which I did by following RFC Reviews' video. It was simple yet obnoxious. Getting the thigh pieces back in was a pain. But my joints are still tight and there is no damage to the legs, so alls well that ends well. And as for the figure itself...it's beautiful.




It's hard to imagine a scenario where I end up preferring the Fanstoys version, at this point. I really, really, really hope Transform Element buckles down on their G1 Masterpiece and BW Legends, and tosses the idea of wasting time on movieverse figures to the curb.

Yeah, mine is the same. Crazy times.

 

I used a plastic spudger on the bottom to start opening it, then slowly worked it around. It came apart more easily the second time I did it.

 

I don't know...did they even do more than one run of their other figures? Can't make changes if you only do one run. G1 seems to be more popular when it comes to 3rd Party, though.

thing is you can fix it. But it's not a pleasant experience , even with other members keep saying "it's ok , you can fix , such ez"
worse thing is pretty much you , me and early buyers all will get the faulty batch and 2nd batch won't have these issues. Feel like donkey.

 

G1 and it’s OP. Don’t think lesser characters going to get the same treatment as OP.

 

If this guy is popular enough for another run, it will happen, and I'd bet your cocoa pebbles there is a change to it. Why? Double dips. I personally think it's douchy...but their goal is to sell figures, not be our buddy.

 

Well this is some bullshit.

 

Just did the thigh fix. It was like a tale of two fixes. First leg was the biggest pain in the ass, but then the second wasn’t too bad. I think I made it through the process without any damage. That being said, it constantly felt like I was going to break the thing. I think I would recommend waiting for the second batch if you can. Or if you do get the first batch, make sure you pick it up from somewhere that offers great customer service.
