I think the recent storm in NJ messed up the time frame of mine.
Looks like I’m looking at another week and a half or so.

 

Just got my deluxe in on saturday. The attached head has a broken antenna. Right side is fine, but left side is completely snapped off just above where it attaches. The left hand also came unattached but popped right back on no issues. Finally, i have a bonus grey piece of plastic. It looks like it fell off of somewhere, but no idea where, it is nicely molded with good details, but i have a 2 year old with grabby hands so i didnt really get to inspect the figure much. Ill post a picture later.

My biggest issue with all of this, is this is 100% a result of shipping in plastic clam shells. They deform and compress, moving and applying pressure to the figures inside. I have never had an issue like this with a figure in Styrofoam, but this isnt the first plastic clam shell figure i have had come with small broken parts. A figure this big/heavy needed way better packaging materials INSIDE the box. The box itself was packaged as well as can be expected by showz, so i dont fault them, and im hopping they can get me another head.

Joints all seem tight, i will do the chest fix tonight when i get home, head is secure on the body and hands are reasonable tight, nothing kiki's wont fix.

 

So I was fiddling with the guns today and I just found out the Sniper and the main blaster were USB rechargeable, which was a nice surprise since I wasn't expecting that and didn't really kept up to date with its features.

Not even surprised. The tolerance sucks ball. If you really really really really want a transformable 3ADLX prime , go with this but expect the risk. I learnt hard lesson with this figure

 

Honestly, I'd just avoid this altogether and get another option. Mine fell apart, and it is not worth the headache, and certainly not worth the price in the end. That's just my opinion. I hope everyone on here who does get it enjoys it, and I hope it is built better than mine was. But I hope those of you on the fence just stay away from it.

 

Any news on that adapter for the extra head?

I'm still excited for my Deluxe version. I know just to be careful in some areas.

 

So I just started watching that video after having my DLX for a few days now, and once he started messing with the chest I started getting anxious and frustrated just watching him try to manipulate it. I'm so glad I got the DLX and I no longer have any regrets about not getting TW. Case closed for me.

It would be nice to have a transforming version, but I'll have to see what comes out in the future. See how Trans Craft does or something.

 

Question:

The head, hands and lower legs. Are they pure blue or purplish blue?

 

I agree, I’m just gonna take twice my time and transform it as slowly as possible.

 

like i said , save headaches , enjoy more. I want a good figure from get go and continuously feel satisfied spending time with it , not slowly degrading into chores

 

You’ve asked multiple times. It’s blue blue. Typical Optimus Prime blue.

 

Got mine last week. Awesome figure and it transforms!! But the transformation isn't fun and handling it makes me nervous so I sold it. Got enough for the Threezero.

If you don't like to handle your figures much, then the TW is a great display piece and you can say confidently in your head that it transforms if your ever felt like it. But if you want action and not just a display piece, this isn't it.

I've always felt that standard dark blue is and always will be indicative of Optimus Prime. And since this Optimus Prime has it as opposed to the purplish blue that the FireScorpion Optimus has, I'm more inclined to get the former.

 

I’ve looked at fire scorpion and it just doesn’t do it for me. TW nails it in my opinion.

Yeah, like I mentioned before, I don’t mess with my figures. Every now and then, but for the most part they are display pieces. This ranges from mini on to Titan class.

 

Is anyone surprised Bobby’s figure was “bad”. He can have one of the best 3p figures out there, and he’ll still find ways to be disappointed by it or have issues on it. Unless it’s an FT figure, expect his to somehow have issues.

 

I thought the was going to have a far worse opinion about it to be honest.

 

I for one am quite happy with FL. I got mine in probably the first batch shipped from ShowZ of the standard version. Outside of a pin that fell out of the inside spine (that I put back in) and the notorious loose wrists mine is good.

Paint is flawless and does not chip like some Takara MPs I have. Nothing except the removable shoulder smokestacks pop off during transformation and outside of one part the transformation is not that bad.

Now I am one that transforms the figure every once and a while and normally keeps it in one or two poses on the shelf.

I do expect part of my satisfaction is the price as I paid $155 plus shipping.

I will say that based on others experience I will be more cautious getting any future TW figures.

 

hows the joints going with kiki? Mine will arrive next week. Is there any need to re apply?
