At least Hasbro is throwing the Joes a bone with that Snake Eyes movie (even if we have no expectations for it) and there's that ROM movie that's supposedly in development.
I feel sorry for Mattel, with the whole He-Man movie getting screwed over for years on end - at least they're finally getting new MOTU projects out there. Maybe they'll revisit their other dormant brands if things work out for them.

And it's the same guys killing the he-man movie both times! They had it at fox and he killed it and run it into limbo and they took it to another studio only for them to hire the same guy who is doing it again! Talk about huge bad luck. What are the odds?

If it does get made it will be do to the stock heads and not the boss who doesn't give a crap about he-man. (or any sci-fi or comic film. He has said "he doesn't get them." This is why the behind the scenes of the men black spin-off was chaos and he didn't step in to stop it!)

Hmmm, could be then nothing more then toy licenses for the regular MOTU toyline they are releasing that already has done quite a few 200x series characters.

Always find it rather funny when people talk about race diversity... of a fantasy franchise.
The Masters are already a super diverse group with everything from bird-people to sentient insectoids, robots, cyborgs, plants and magical beings. :D  That's as diverse as it needs to be.
I yearn for the days when diversity in fantasy shows will be more about "why are there no heroic snake-men? That's anti-reptilian!" and such. ;)

They did try with IDW. Did it work? Not really, all those comics were short lived and got cancelled soon. Heck, I am a huge nerd and even I have never heard of Rom, and the only info on Micronauts I had was that it was some repurposed Microman toyline - and I only knew about that because of Microman's relation to Transformers. The average joe will not even know that much. So M.A.S.K. or Dino Riders don't have much of a chance these days. They have never been such big names like TMNT or Transformers. Heck, not even MOTU or Thundercats are... and you all remember how their latest revivals went. We live in a day and age when not even Batman or the Justice League have their own shows...

All those half-transformed "Mech alive" or whatever they called them battle modes the Autobots had in DotM, always felt they were like a precursor to a MASK spinoff show that never happened. Humans using Cybertronian tech to partially transform vehicles to battle modes... Heck they even made some toys that were very MASK like, and there was Human Alliance, with human figures the same size as old MASK or Dino Riders toys...

That's pretty much how the first Fox X-Men film was made... he was trying to kill the project and people with more pull than him pressured him to do it. He went ahead with it only because he thought it wouldn't be successful and thus prove his point about properties based on comics/kids stuff being made into films.

That’s not what I was referring to. I am not talking about a “shared” universe. Trying to cram the Visionaries and ROM into the GI Joe / Transformers universe is stooo-pid. It ruins the stories and uniqueness of each universe. Joe doesn’t belong anywhere near Transformers.

I mean in a compilation package, each universe existing in its separate universe in a compiled Hasbro animation brand. Now let’s jump to MASK... what’s happening with Matt Trakker story quick short, fun maybe somewhat serialized. Then jump to Visionaries, Inhumanoids etc. Then you can run it with a 6” toyline featuring characters from every line, Hasbro 80’s All-Stars. Same with comics and Netflix. NOT pushing it together into some Frankenstein pile of shit. Just having a Hasbro banner where all this stuff can thrive and bring in fans from each brand and cross-pollinate.

For instance Inhumanoids and Jem existed in a Super-Sunday format of cartoons featuring shortened episodes in one show. Hasbro could absolutely crush this idea again on something like Netflix. See what I’m saying?

I mean, I still think ROM is the only one of these properties that actually felt like it worked in conjunction with Transformers. He can go right ahead and share a universe with the Transformers, if it means we get more Stardrive.

I wish I could've been in the same room as Kev when he was proven wrong publicly despite doubling down so hard. Though I figure their had to be some catch, Netflix wouldn't have financed it if it was just a good, from the heart of a fan, through and through continuation of He-Man without some stupid element thrown in to pander.

Because I'm not a mindless consoomer I'm gonna go into this with my brain turned on. If it sucks it sucks, if not then great. But what I've heard doesn't fill me with confidence.

Well marvel has rom, micronauts, shogun warriors, team america, us1, human fly, alf, sledgehammer, meteor man, godzilla, doc savage, dr fu manchu, conan, soloman kaine, saturday night live, guiding light heroes and dr who all in their main universe along with spider-man, avengers, hulk, howard the duck and rocket raccoon.

Yeah they may have a tranzer z and dr who but that does not mean they will bump into one another. Marvel has a john carter of mars also but he may never meet iron man.

You can still be in the same universe and have adventures without rom or mask showing up. Jem is in the same universe as transformers and other then them fighting a hand made robot the autobots never showed up in jem but they are still in the same universe.

So we’re taking about a difference without a distinction here. I could care less whether it’s the same universe. I thought I made it pretty clear I didn’t want them bumping into each other in the same show / comic in response to this pile o’ crap idea.

As though this was some sort of proper relaunch of these brands.

It would be a big risk because for this to work you'd need at least 1-2 toys made for every franchise in this "mega-show" franchise, all of which would be different size classes and engineering (I mean MASK has to be vehicles, Visionaries should be Joe sized with holograms, etc). Unless they are just reengineered from the same base mold idea, IE all based on the basic Joe body, I can't see it happening. And I mean, even the new Joe toyline has no vehicles yet, even.
Not to mention animating all this all in different animation styles, to make them stand apart?
Remember, Hasbro had the opportunities for this when they owned their own cartoon channel. They even made shows for them, like GI Joe Renegades and other stuff. Sadly, did not end well and now that channel is gone, and Hasbro has only outsourced shows since then.
I mean, also consider this is the same Hasbro who kept insisting the machinima studio make their miniseries when it was utterly terrible and widely ridiculed on the internet. Even afterwards, they just took WFC, their next trilogy, and took it to yet another relatively cheap CGI studio instead of one of the bigger more experienced ones.

All I am saying is what you say is nice, just not very feasible given how Hasbro has done shows in the past decades. More like wishful thinking.

I am not sure how you could possibly read my post as anything other than wishful thinking it was literally the entire point. That being said you are still missing the point. None of these shows or toys have much of a chance of being relaunched as a stand-alone series. But Hasbro is sitting on a ton of franchises that people would buy figures for, especially in the 6” scale. So how do you get from point A to point B.

You do a Hasbro All-Stars line where you can release multiple brands under one banner. This also gives Hasbro the ability to test the market for popularity for each brand. So yeah I didn’t mean MASK vehicles in that line but the main cast of all of these shows could easily be released in 6” scale and there most likely is a market for them, just not as a relaunched series. And that is where the cost savings come from and where the cross-marketing comes from because they all work on the shelf together and you target the same demographic. If Hasbro wants to do an All-Stars comic that showcases different stories easily done and cheap and they could do short Netflix series as well. Netflix puts money behind all kinds of crappy animation I cannot really see your point when other shows have been relaunched, successfully on the channel. And they have different animation style shorts like Love, Death and Robots. The entire point is this isn’t a Big Risk a stand-alone series would be a “big risk.” You also have a far greater chance of hitting one or two gems in the series because you are hitting multiple brands and can carry weaker ones. This is the most logical vehicle for them to actually use their catalog of licenses and appeal to fans.
