I really like Doubledealer! Much improved over Blitzwing repaint version.(who I am still keeping as a mass-produced Quintesson drone repaint, as headcanon, lol!)

I figured out a way to perch Skar on the... radar... thingy. Is it a sound cannon? I don't know. But he fits there, and stays put. Your milage may vary. 20200809_210152~2.jpg

Got mine today, I enjoy him a ton in hand but what happened with the QC? my god the arms can't hold a damn thing and what is with some of the choices they decided with him? the rifle/cannon barely stays in his hand why was the peg made so small? my enjoyment would go up immensely if he could just hold his damn rifle correctly. very interesting engineering/articulation hampered by poor QC and strange decisions.

Got mine. He is a decent figure.

The engineering is a bit simplistic but everything pegs into place and holds tight which a recent 3P purchase made me appreciate all the more.

Aesthetics are really good (or a mixed bag depending on personal preference). Lots of quality sculpting here and the color scheme is classic goofy late G1. The missile truck looks fine and deployable missile launcher mode is actually pretty nice. Should look very good with base building. Robot mode is nice and chunky but might be too boxy and retro for some. The bird mode is goofy just like the original. It's the kind of thing you will either love or hate.

Articulation for the robot mode is adequate. Everything important is there. The vehicle mode has the missile deployment which is more than most. The beast mode can move the head a wings around a bit and not much else.

Overall he's leagues better than that thrilling 30 blitzwing repaint. It's nice to see these unique characters making a comeback and I think he'll look great displaying with fellow classic beast formers like Snapdragon, Apeface, Dezaras, and sixshot.

Edit: forgot to add. For a leader class this is a joke now. It's hard to reason that plastic rocket is worth the extra money.

Also part of me hopes this guy gets retooled as Cybertron Defense Red Alert.

Does anyone know how to plug the legs back in easily?

This happened with mine as well. I did have to use a bit of force to get mine back in. Was really worried it would stress the plastic but on mine at least it was fine.

Try and find a positioning of the joint where the biggest gap to slide the leg back in is visible and don’t be afraid to put some elbow grease in. Good luck!

I've had mine from Amazon about a week and he's still in bot mode and i really love this figure a great deal. This figure has to be some of the best work I've seen and played with. If only i could get the tapes from bbts to go with this figure that 2 of them are meant for.

That leg design is really poor. Mine is going back as I couldn't even get them in bird mode position without them popping off. Not worth my 50.

The knee assembly IS strangely over-designed. I'm not sure why they didn't do what even the G1 toy did and have the upper-leg rotation AND the transformation rotation accomplished by a single thigh-cut swivel, rather than have a swivel inside the thigh at the hip and ANOTHER swivel inside the knee where there are two other joints already (for knee bend and "telescoping" transformation).

Yeah, that leg transformation is scary. I shouldn't have to force the pieces together. In my mind, takes him from a 10 to a 7.

    Battle toaster.

The extra transformation steps for bird mode just aren’t worth the effort. This is fine. (Though now that I’m posting this from bed, half asleep, I realize that I did not extend his neck.)

I have had this dude for a few days now and transformed him to bird mode each day sometimes multiple times a day with no issues outside of needing to future up an elbow joint, box says 01331 I think i just got lucky

Agreed, that’s actually how I thought it was supposed to be until all the complaints led me to check the instructions. I then tried doing it the proper way and...yeah, I don’t feel the need to fight with a toy just to make my bird butt an inch shorter.

I’ve had mine for a day or two now and I’m really happy with it overall. My only complaints are his missile doesn’t peg in very solidly in ICBM launcher mode and Skar is so loose in the chest bracket that he falls out the second you put him in there which means he can’t go where he’s supposed to in bird mode. Both pretty minor complaints.

Opened up my DD today. He's really striking, and I'm happy I got him, but like a lot of folks, mine has super floppy leg ratchets, and I don't want to open it up and add putty.

I guess I'll pour some finish in the joint and hope for the best.

Got him today and already his left leg fell off at the knee. No matter how hard I try, I can't pop it back on. Does anyone know how to fix this, preferably with pictures?
