Yea was very confused as well. That Braun promo was hilariously bad. The ending stuff was passable. Not many matches tonight.

Getting paid before retirement probably, dude is in his mid-40s and WWE prison contracts are still the best way for most people to make allot of money in a relatively short amount of time.

Good for him! He was one of the surprise wrestlers for this past Royal Rumble and he got totally overshadowed by Edge (and Brock doing his thing). I honestly didn’t think he was going to stick around. Glad he was able to make the best out of it.

MVPs stable is one of the only decent things on Raw, right now. Dude saved Lashley's career. So the contract is well deserved

He hasn't been out of work for most of the last 15 years and he's still decent on TV, no reason not to pick him up if they like what he is doing.

That along with his entrance music (the tribal scream at the start) always had me cowering under my blanket when I would watch wrestling as a kid late at night. RIP

    :rip  Kamala.
It's a gimmick that wouldn't work nowadays due to concerns over racial stereotyping, but it was VERY effective back then. Jim Harris was pretty agile for a big guy, and played the part of a battle-oriented tribal warrior perfectly, down to his mannerisms and facial expressions. I always liked how he would pin his opponent upside-down (see, because he's from deepest, darkest Africa and doesn't fully understand pro wrestling), forcing Kim Chee and whoever else his manager was to try to get him to turn his opponent over :D

He unfortunately had to have both legs amputated due to diabetes, I believe.

Funny you mention his entrance music.
By sheer coincidence, the same day he passed, the members of my wrestling entrance music forum finally found all the parts to his WWF music, after the community had been searching for 20+ years. It's actually a mashup of 3 separate tracks, 2 from an album of African tribal music, and one commercially-released track, Sunny Earth by Vangelis (who later composed the theme to Chariots of Fire). I made my own edit and posted it on there. So finally we have his music in full lossless stereo :rock :rock :rock
I know collecting pro wrestling entrance music is an extremely niche hobby, but stuff like this is a HUGE high.
