Yuck. Hopefully you can put the pin back in the correct position and it'll be usable until you get a replacement.

No manuals for anyone, but if you scan the QR code on the box it'll send you to the video instructions (which aren't horrible): https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1JT4y1J7pj

Okay so... surgery complete... since there are plenty of "That was super fast and easy." comments, allow me to be the first one to say it. That was anxiety inducing and a slight pain in the ass.

That said, yay... he can properly transform now!

    I think Mirage approves.

Good grief, the QC (or lack thereof) on this guy. That does not look fun.

I really hope a future version 2 doesn't suffer from the same issues.

So I just got mine and had to fix both knees but he's pretty great! There's a pretty big chip on some of the blue on his back but it gets covered by his robot mode backpack so it's not bad

That's what I just did. Knees are still very much tight, and Mirage is happy he's no longer an 1/8 of an inch too tall and can properly transform.

I mean, I know it isn't the US, but Show.Z has him for $83 + $6 shipping, and it arrives within 2 weeks. But honestly, if you're going to pay that much or US markup prices, you might as well wait for the second batch due out in November(?) and avoid the misassembly issue that is very wide spread.

I thought some people might have enjoyed it. Sorry about that if you didn't like it.

So... Yeah. Did the surgery. Reinforce the joint a bit so its not floppy.
But i accidentally cause some nasty scratches on the inside of his thighs. Bit sour but my bad.
Then when i put the insignia wrong and try to take it out , turn out his chest is painted white and i chipped it.
    Sad.
Now his insignia have to be put way down his alt mode tip and it bother me so much.
Figure is good for the price but im salty that we all receive faulty batch first when there is correct batch without need to fix later. Sigh. 20200809_184146.jpg 20200809_184141.jpg

Hopefully the second batch won't require reconstructive surgery to be functional. I expect more from TE after their excellent Prime.

Thats me , im sad because i damaged the figure and kinda want to buy another but now have to tell myself to wait. The robot mode aside from some loose joints that can fixed is truly good , unlike their prime, which i would like to not get debate further.
Robot mode is very good .

Mine is in the mail (probably for a long long time) so not having handled it yet, there's a thing I don't understand about that fix: wouldn't it be simplier to just rotate the blue hip joint 180° then rotate the upper thigh 180° too? I do get that would put the screw on the front side but the waist panels hide it anyway.

Some would prefer aesthetic which doesnt leave big screwhole on the front. If its a flat pin then no big deal but kinda irksome when you see a screw on the front and behind it is normal

I feel your pain. I marked up my copies thighs a little bit as well. Sadly, this is the risk we run of being forced to perform the fix ourselves.

The most grueling part was trying to rotate the overly tight blue hip piece with the leg inserted but without the little white cap piece and screw for the support. It's an awkward grip and I thought for sure I was going to snap the white piece off that fits through the ring... There's just no easy way to rotate that piece without applying some tension at the thigh... scary shit. I am not a fan of how much that piece had to flex...

Now if only my copies damn thigh and waist swivel were half as tight as that...

Ah thats if you dont push out the pin right?
I do the push out pin method but the hint of pin head to push out is too vague on my copy that i accidentally apply more force then need , and scrape the thigh.
And yeah.. Still so sad of the misplaced insignia. Should have used sticker instead of dry transfer( i cant find any water slide decal).

I tried the pin popping method first, but had no luck and unfortunately even managed to leave a very light (hardly noticeable, but I know it's there) scratch on the outside of his right thigh. So at first I thought of just leaving him be, but it kept nagging at me, and then when the most recent tutorial video was posted I took another crack at it, opting for the method used in the video. It was a struggle to say the least, but that could just be that I'm not very experienced with having to fix a figure. In the end I managed to get it done with a the minimal amount of thigh separation and avoided cracking the back of the thigh where it's pinned or loosening the knees at said pins.

Ah I'm just joshing; I'm never one to pass up an opportunity to use a meme. It's only cause I posted a video with almost the exact same steps a page or so before. The faction symbol does trigger me though :D

You can't rotate the thighs anyway as the cuts are in the wrong place, so it messes up the aesthetic.

Well I must consider myself lucky I guess, I ordered this a while ago, but seems that I have missed the first batch and I am now waiting on second batch, we will see if they fixed this hip issue. I hope so.

Mine is still unopened at home, should be going home in about a week but I'm curious has there been ANYONE who didn't have to do the fix, seems like almost everyone had to wheel Mirage to the surgery room so far.
