Some fans on tieba are discussing the possibility of DF polishing the mold to avoid breakages. Do you think they should?.

 

If they redesigned the core to accept a bigger head and collapse the chest in more, I'd consider that a big plus. Even if some of the fragility remained.

Honestly, I want Prime to function as good as he looks though. Gimme a transforming Peterbilt Prime with MP-44 articulation.

 

I know it's great. I have it   It truly is a work of art! Seeing pics of the earlier one again, I see what you mean by it being a little "off". No one has gotten the face right at all, aside from Prime1 (and now the custome 3D printed head makers).

Yea same. At this point we've seen so so many variations of the MPM mold (which is itself based on the leader mold before it) that we need something new. As fun as BA Prime is, it's really just a half-measure in many ways.

I'm extremely bummed right now

When I heard that Wei Jiang was shut down i looked like crazy for a supplier for this figure. Found one named TOTOTOY Store on AliExpress and bought it right away. After 2 weeks in transit i only got one update: "shipment canceled"

Turns out they lost my package. And I checked back to see if I could get another one, but it was already out of stock...

That was my last chance to get this guy cuz I really can't find it anywhere else so...
I really hope TF DreamFactory does end up producing some of WJ's molds, cuz if not I'm out of luck

Something like that happened to me. Everytime I would order one my payment and order would bounce back and get cancelled. Happend with a few sellers. Then it was sold out and it slipped through my fingers. Trust me I know the frustration. I honestly hope they release it this year or early next year

How many here would not mind if DF or someone else who makes their own First Trilogy Optimus just omits the matrix chamber in favor of having a bigger (maybe transformable) head.

The thing is, all those stores take the order and then goes to manifacturer or stock keeper to get the figure before send it to you. It did not get lost, it never shipped because they could not get it from stock keeper. Either whom they get the figure raised price immediately after arrests or someone else bought the last one.

Tototoy is the best seller i buy from in Aliexpress. They were so kind and helpful in many occasions. Same thing happened to me with Rendsora a month ago.

BA Prime definitely isn't a $400 figure but that 3A Prime never looked quite right... and it's huge.

 

Loved its presence in my display. But weak ratcheting joints made me repurchase back all the DLX line.
Agree that the face-sculpt is off. Hence I ordered the 3A LED version as well.

From what i gather (not official information), they create shipping order before they have the figure at hand (may be in hopes to procure it somehow), so when they fail to provide the item to shipping company in time, it is cancelled. Why they lie? I guess it is easier to blame pandemic affects than explaining the process and lose credibility for not holding the stock themselves. I ask before order anything now to avoid heartbreak  

 

Did some digging on Aliexpress (looking for some other MPM figures I'm interested in) and ended up finding a few listings for this guy, I don't know if they are legit or not but maybe you guys could give it a look, ask the seller and maybe you'll get lucky  

I'm legit sad to hear that some of you weren't able to get him, I've been on the same shoes as you and it's heartbreaking, but I seriously hope everyone can get a version of this guy in one way or another!

I've had mine for over half a year now and haven't experienced any breaks or QC issues whatsoever aside from a tab on the gun (and that was kind of my fault), and that's considering I transform him every 2 weeks or so. Also if you have him you owe it to yourself to see him in daylight, it's truly a sight to behold!  

 

Who's the seller?

 

I honestly wouldn’t trust any sellers who claims they have a BA OP in stock. Someone local here ordered one from China who claimed to still have in stock when the raid happened and he received a Hasbro MPM04 instead. Now one could argue he actually got a better end of the deal due to the much higher retail price of the Hasbro but he is definitely not amuse.

 

Did a quick check, turns out most were those listings with multiple figures and all the ones with this guy were sold out

 

There’s only one seller who has it listed on Aliexpress for preorder, however, they haven’t replied to my messages I sent almost a week ago now, so I’ll wait til something solid appears.
