I mean.. Heat Death would be hilariously undersized? Not sure why that's a comparison you need. Just wait for Iron Factory's OpOp.

I haven't heard one way or another from ShowZ yet on mine. Probably will be several months before it comes though...

Looks like the Predacon faction symbol.

Sure does. Though in the original it was etched from under the helmet. For obvious reasons the insignia would not be present on the IF version, I believe that is a water decal.

Should be getting my replacement torso from netclow soon. I had one of the version with the head that pulls the chest up, if pegged in place.

I'll finally transform him for the first time....hooray

had a weird discolouration on the red plastic for the main hinge for one side of the wing. not sure if it's bad manufacturing, or stress mark done during assembly. but reached out to BaBa maybe a week or so ago and just got an update today saying they got the replacement part and shipping that out to me. :D

Finally got around to opening this guy and I transformed him straight away to Dragon mode which is where he will stay forever.

    ^Misc Megs shelf.

I have to say that he is pretty good. His hips feel fine and the articulation is great. I don't own a lot of IF pieces but to me anyway, they have always felt brittle yet solid all at the same time.

Sadly, welcome to the club! I'm still waiting to hear if I can get replacements. Kinda hoping someone will make some 3D printed replacements. Problem is, the socket is a serious pain in the ass to get out!

Honestly, at this point, the more people this happens to the better. Iron Factory is good about fixing their shit, and it's a small enough replacement that they could end up just releasing a fixed set of hip joints with the next release.

Except you have to buy the next release to get them. If they put them in with Optimal fine, but I don't want to buy an entire new figure just to get parts that should have been right the first time.

really curious on what's making the ball socket explode for some and not others. i inspected and handled both mine and i don't see or feel anything that would flag anything that would cause me to worry about it happening. there was extreme tightness on my first copy, it would shudder when i tried to rotate the joint. but i remedied that with some lube and it's smooth now. i could possibly see that if left that way with the shuddering, that constant shock could have stressed the ball socket to cause cracks and then shatter.

maybe it's just a bad batch of ball socket manufactured and installed, or ham-fisted assembly, or combo of both. and it's purely bad luck of the draw getting a defective one. fingers crossed it doesn't happen to either of mine. :(

it also seems like for those it does happens to, it's pretty immediately right of the box. are those that have suffered the explosion, have you handled it much? any signs that may have noticed before the incident happened?, like the tight joint shuddering i mentioned?
