Within reason. The reason for a deadline is to keep the project going without losing steam. 2-3 days to deliver a page seemed like reasonable time to deliver. And even if you missed your deadline you still had a second chance and another couple days to come up with a page. "all the time they need" is very broad. I don't think anyone here is going to hang around if someone takes weeks to post a page, otherwise this thing will take forever to finish.
I agree that there should be some kind of limit yes, I also think 2-3 days is a lil short but also I should be done by now... I have half a page, so even if it's a shorter one it will be today. Sorry everyone

I wanted to do a lot more with the automobile show, describing more existing characters, more unique alt modes for existing characters and establish a new one in the Hudson Hornet. Oh well Earth - The Information Age - A dusty interstate road A Superjolly van speeds past an empty petrol station. It continues many miles past it, the destination a hangar just as remote and alone, but not unpopulated. Outside the private air hangar are vintage cars placed as though for an upcoming show. Two Porsche 962 Race cars are a prominent display of the show. The Superjolly parks behind the shed with other equipment not meant for public view, and the Volkswagen Beetle exits, returning to the front and parking in a section of other European cars. It’s lights blink twice. MAINFRAME Confirmed, stable communications established Bumblebee. Wheeljack; report The superjolly replies, with a strong and soft voice. Think Peter Cullen or Reshma Shetty. WHEELJACK De’Bee retrieved it, and despite effective evasion tactics had a closer run in with Decepticon squadrons than previously encountered. There.. Was a human. I’m not sure what they were doing but they died. BUMBLEBEE The same protocols which keep us hidden got the human involved and killed. I’m not convinced this is working The reply comes from a patrol car parked near the hangar STAKEOUT You think fighting on the front lines in these cities would have saved their life rather than …………………...destroyed this planet? Or would you rather we do nothing at all? I plan to listen to the higher ups. Hiding is best for us all. No interference with people who shouldn't be involved with our war. A red biplane FIXIT I think we have more immediate concerns, these grievances should be shared another time but right now anyone wounded; get in line and get ready. ELSEWHERE - BACK TO THE GAS STATION GREASEPIT FOB-DST12 to Commander Krok, the Superjolly passed by. It’s hard to get a reading but we have a confirm heading, suggest you intercept to clear this up once and for all. A message cuts through in reply, not as crisp yet just as recognisable. Somewhere else, high above the sky, an advanced but earthly jet redirects it’s path. STARSCREAM Thank you Greasepit, my Seekers will end this GREASEPIT Starscream, there are protocols to our operations and on account of scrap like this the current chain has cut you off! I’m sending you coordinates, victory is at the other side of them MARS - EXTERIOR Soundwave is sitting stoically on the surface, under the shadow of Megatron’s flagship. They wait for a moment after receiving Starscream’s message, looking at Ravge. RAVAGE There is much uncertainty, you know this. But you know who is with you. Soundwave nods and opens the portal as per Starscream’s instructions. SOUNDWAVE This should incite something from this stagnating movement. To the Decepticons. (To Starscream) Affirmative (Pause) STARSCREAM Excellent Soundwave, going silent as I make my approach. (Pause) SOUNDWAVE(To Megatron) Megatron, Starscream has abandoned the existing forces on Earth and intends to engage Autobot forces. I have his coordinates. … If things proceed as I predict, I believe our hand has been forced. Megatron considers this. EARTH Slipstream leads a squadron of seekers to rendezvous with ground forces at Greasepit’s FOB. The red Biplane Overair combines with the reconfiguring Autobot base as the various vehicles around the base prepare for action. Backstreet prepares their cannons while Tailspin scouts ahead Fixit performs repairs on Wheeljack, and Dee Bee stays by their side.
Awesome chapter, Bumblebee2000! I love how you beefed up the Autobot ranks. The backdrop of the car show was really cool and explains how all these different cars can be in one place at once in the open and not get Con attention, I thought that was clever!! I'm next, I'll post a chapter tomorrow!!

I am happy with the car show and lil bit of Micromaster bases, there's something there that I could make a bigger part of a story one day. I can refocus on character in future but yeah
Hey guys, next chapter is gonna be late. I'll get to it tomorrow, but today I'm far too tired. I'm a teacher and we just started back today, now all online. There was a crap ton to do and I just got done, at almost 1am lmao. Hopefully I can be done with work at a reasonable time tomorrow.
The Autobot forces are all preparing for battle; several of them are combining to make a Micromaster Base, and others are coming up with ammunition to stock up those bases. Fixit finishes up wit Bumblebee, and Bumblebee calls over Swindler. BUMBLEBEE: Swindler, please come here! Swindler approaches. BUMBLEBEE: You reminded us all earlier that we have no idea what the size of the Decepticon’s forces are. I think you’d be a good fit to try and gather some intel on that. SWINDLER: But, Bee, I can be of so much use to you all here! Look at us, we’re all preparing for a battle! Don’t you need everyone you can get? BUMBLEBEE: They aren’t sending an entire horde of ‘cons yet, we only detect a small engagement for now. I think getting this information is incredibly important to our further operations. SWINDLER: Of course, you’ll need to know how to prepare for the next attack… and the next… BUMBLEBEE: Don’t get down on me, Swindler. There’s an end to this war, I know it. Swindler walks away a few steps and pulls up a picture of Optimus Prime on his arm-mounted screen. A heroic picture, Optimus standing with multiple freed Autbot prisoners on Cybertron. He’s a very bulky Optimus, clearly transforming into a large tank. He has his face mask on but you can see his tired, hopeful eyes. SWINDLER: There was an end for him already… BUMBLEBEE: We all loved Optimus. Everyone here. But I need you to focus on this mission I’ve given you. We know the Nemesis, based on our scans, is transporting itself to Earth as we speak. Space Bridge jumps are the least safe way to travel; they still have hours left on their jump, and we can drop you right on their ship. You’re small enough to go unnoticed if you keep to the shadows. SWINDLER: Ok, I can do this. You’re right, one day this war will be over. We’ll stop putting all these humans at risk. I wish so badly there were better ways to stay hidden. The way we’re doing things— BUMBLEBEE: I know. It got a human killed today. We’ll consider more strategies. Wheeljack walks up and pats Swindler on the shoulder. WHEELJACK: You ready, there, ace? Here, I’ve equipped this— He slaps a device on Swindler’s arm. WHEELJACK: --to scramble Decepticon’s scanners. They can’t detect you unless they see you. I’m starting up the space bridge now. True to his word, Wheeljack walked over to the computer console and started up the bridge. Swindler gulped and walked through it. On the other side, Swindler jumped to cover after he saw two Decepticons turning the corner. He looks from side to side and runs to a console. He begins typing. SWINDLER: Great, I have the location of the barracks on this ship. Maybe if I can find the ship log… He extends his finger and plugs it into the console, extracting information. SWINDLER: The Decepticons would never leave themselves so wide open like this, by doing a space bridge jump. There’s got to be something else going on here…. He presses a button and begins a signal, transferring any information he got from the Con’s computer to the Autobot base. SWINDLER: This is Swindler to Wheeljack, can you— WHEELJACK: We’re under heavy attack, I’m going to have to call you— The feed is cut off. Swindler realizes he’s stuck on the ship indefinitely.
THE DESERT-- SAME TIME A red AUDI TT with yellow flames on the hood is cruising through the rough, rugged landscape. On the radio, blaring, is City Escape by Crush 40. HOT SHOT: Man, is this great or WHAT? Wind on my hood, my favorite tunes a-blowin', and I got my best buddy with me. As we get closer, we see a human male sitting in H.S.'s passenger seat. His name is EDWARD "EDDIE" FAIRCHILD, age 19. In his left hand he holds a purple-and-orange Slurpee; his right hand is submerged in a bag of Cheese Doodles. EDDIE: Plus, nobody to bring down our good time. Just you an' me, compadre. Just then, a purple laser shoots at them; but they narrowly avoid the laser blast. EDDIE: What was that, dude? HOT SHOT: *in abject terror* ...someone I prayed I'd never see again. Eddie looks out the window, and does a double-take. Above his head is a large flying boat, which suddenly shifts into its humanoid form: EDDIE: ...IS THAT A FLYING BOAT?! THUNDERBLAST: Hot Shoooot!! Come out and pla-aaaay! EDDIE: How do you know that boat, man? Did you owe someone money? HOT SHOT: I WISH! Thunderblast has been badgering me to join the Decepticons for CYCLES! I admit, she's kinda cute, but she's also nuts, so that is not for me, man. THUNDERBLAST: C'mooooon!~ It'll be fu~un!! She continues unleashing a hail of laser fire, as H.S. swerves frantically to avoid the fire. But suddenly... BA-KooM!! THUNDERBLAST: WHOOOOAAAAA!! She wobbles in the air. HEY!! WHO DID THAT?! WINDBLADE: Yeah, that would be me!! Quick PAN UP to show WINDBLADE, albeit decked out in a different deco: HOT SHOT: I always knew I had a guardian angel lookin' out for me. EDDIE: You think she has a friend? HOT SHOT: Well, she knows this femme named Strongarm; she's a police academy student in training. Bet you'd like her! EDDIE: ...sounds cute, man. Also, you know anyone who's good with putting human minds in robot bodies? I doubt I'd be much good if I croaked when I was getting to know her, and I don't think human flesh is good for...interfacing, if you know what I mean. HOT SHOT: I'll try to ask...in the meantime, let's get YOU someplace safe! The two continue driving, as Windblade and Thunderblast are now beginning to duke it out.

INT. X-BRAWN'S LAB--A HALF HOUR LATER X-BRAWN hums a certain tune to himself as he sets up the mind transference system. On one end, Eddie is strapped to a table with a helmet on his head; said helmet has a multitude of wires coming from it, which are attached to a Cybertronian protoform. X-BRAWN ~...Planet, he's a hero, gonna take pollution down to ze-ro....~ EDDIE So you're sure that this is gonna work, X-Brawn? X-Brawn continues making the finishing touches while he talks to Eddie. X-BRAWN Course I'm sure, Ed. Finally got this thing workin' right, so it should only be a few minutes before your mind is in your new body. If my calculations are correct, it'll establish a connection which will allow you to will your mind between your organic body and your Transformer body. EDDIE And if it DOESN'T work? X-BRAWN *finishing up* Like you really need the incentive to not go through with this. We're doing it. CLEAR!! He pulls down a nearby switch; crackling electrical energy surges up through the wires as Eddie's body goes limp. The energy travels through the wires before coming to rest inside of the Cybertronian protoform, which soon begins to reshape itself into a new form. EXT. X-BRAWN'S LAB -- A FEW MINUTES AFTER Hot Shot waits nearby, awaiting the news of his friend's condition. Finally, X-Brawn emerges from the lab, wiping his forehead off with a sweat rag. X-BRAWN Hoo-boy, that was taxing...I need a drink. Next stop, Maccadam's. HOT SHOT What about Eddie? Is he okay? X-BRAWN Why don't you ask him yourself? As he smirks, the doors burst open, and Hot Shot's eyes widen as a tall blue Cybertronian walks out. Like Hot Shot himself, his chest also bears the symbol of the Astrobots. HOT SHOT Eddie? That you in there? EDDIE Sure is! But I've been mullin' over a new moniker. Besides, Eddie is my human name. From now on... you can call me Side Burn! He winks and grins.
That was a neat chapter!! I love the origin for Side Burn is that he was a human that wanted to date Transformers so he became a Transformer. Thats a great origin and I should've seen Eddie's name change coming, haha!! Good little twist. @ObacaChanTachi , you're up next!! (if anyone's forgotten cause I almost did, it looked like some Decepticons were about to attack the Autobots at their base. @Bumblebee2000 , which Decepticons were about to attack? Rereading your chapter I had a bit of trouble following. Could just be me though! )
So it did rely on the explanation of Krok's position from... probably my/overall the first chapter sorry Exhaust is the commander and part of a Forward Operating Base operated by Krok's team which is under Slipstream's technically, having established themselves on Earth first and now playing more of a support role to the main force. They are more expansive but require support from the main force. Hopefully this can be read from FOB and interactions. So Exhaust contacts their commander, Krok, who should have gotten the message Soundwave is trying to play Starscream against Megatron, I have more specific thoughts but while I might be the one to develop Soundwave's motives its less likely I will be the one to decide how Megatron reacts so his reaction is left to another writer which was the intention of that 'cliffhanger' As it is, the closest enemy combatant is Starscream who will arrive their alone. Either Krok did also get the message or Exhaust contacted again afterwards. Perhaps including that in the story would've saved me the trouble of the post, have Starscream and Krok reply. There's two chapters more now, too late to add "Slipstream will send backup but Starscream will get there first" from Krok but that's what happened. Starscream will get there first. Slipstream has rendezvoused with her forces at the Exhaust FOB so her + a team of established or new forces of hers (undetermined size). Megatron might do something. The seekers still exist and will probably fall in line with anyone but Starscream? We'll see
Eddie, now brandishing his new metallic body starts posing and showing himself like a runway for New York Fashion Week. Hot Shot Hey Eddie! Eh, Side Burn? X-Brawn I know you’re still getting used to your new body. But we need to ask you to do a little favour for us. Side Burn Yeah. Yeah. About that... when will I get to meet m'lady? X-Brawn and Hot Shot croak and cringe a little. X-Brawn Yeah... about that. Hot Shot We need to talk, me and X-Brawn. Do you mind waiting a little while? CUT TO: EXT. LAB X-Brawn I told you this was a stupid idea! Hot Shot Yet you didn't stop yourself from doing it. What’s the problem, big guy? X-Brawn Turning humans into foot soldiers? Does he even know what we’re putting him up to!? Hot Shot I SAID I’d introduce him to this girl. Strongarm. If you know her. If he became a Cybertronian like us. X-Brawn So you lied? Hot Shot I guess so, yeah. X-Brawn You promised me a soldier and got me a neckbeard! Hot Shot Fine! I’ll tell him the truth. But don’t go crying if he makes a mess. X-Brawn Whatever. CUT TO: INT. LAB Side Burn can be seen playing all sorts of crazy acrobatics. From a twist, a split, and a backflip, he couldn’t ever do as a human. Hot Shot enters the room and calls him out. Hot Shot Eddie! Side Burn Took you long enough. Hot Shot There’s something I have to tell you. Side Burn What is it? Hot Shot, taking a deep breathe, starts talking. Hot Shot You know how I said I’d introduce you to a girl if you become a Transformer? Side Burn Uh huh. Is she coming here to see me? Hot Shot Actually... (Pause) Yes! Yes! She’s coming. But it’ll take a while and in the meantime I need you to come with me to fight some Decepticon baddies like the flying spaceship you saw. Side Burn (Confused) That was a mouthful. But fighting? Hot Shot Yes. We need you to come with us, me and X-Brawn will teach you some tricks. Side Burn No way man. You said you’d do this for me to get a girl. Now you want to me to become a meat shield? Hot Shot That’s not what I meant. X-Brawn rushes in with dread in his eyes. Carrying with him Windblade’s helmet. X-Brawn Thunderblast... she’s back. Windblade’s dead! Side Burn and Hot Shot let out an aghast gasp. X-Brawn And she has reinforce... A sudden laser shot sends X-Brawn dropping to the ground. It was Thunderblast. Now with an army of Vehicons. Thunderblast Good riddance to her. It was a good fight, too bad she thought she was smart enough to do it alone. Thought I’d leave you a souvenir. Side Burn seems visibly panicked, Hot Shot discreetly motions him to stay calm. Hot Shot What do you want? Thunderblast Oh you boy. Thunderblast comes closer, slowly approaching Hot Shot. Almost seductively. Thunderblast You are such a naughty little rascal. Do you know what naughty boys like you get? (Long, suspenseful pause) Playtime. Side Burn Enough of this! Side Burn rushes to grab Thunderblast’s laser cannon. Hot Shot runs over to the door to fend off the Vehicon army. Hot Shot Warn the others! X-Brawn! Side Burn! This happens while Side Burn brawls with Thunderblast, shooting lasers in all random directions, destroying the lab. Thunderblast Fearless. But hopeless. Side Burn You just don’t know me. X-Brawn gets up, grab his pistol and joins Hot Shot in shooting one Vehicon down. Hot Shot You’re back! X-Brawn Never left. Just needed her to believe I was. What about that kid? With all Vehicons down. The two rush back in to get to Side Burn. Side Burn You! Will never! Harm my friends! Again! Hot Shot! Thunderblast slaps Side Burn aside, taking advantage of the distraction. Aiming her laser at him, she prepares for a killing shot. Thunderblast You die! X-Brawn & Hot Shot No! Distracted again by the two Autobots, Side Burn grabs her pistol again and sends her aim away. Though by the time he did, it was loaded and ready to strike. It struck an overhead metal bar, crushing his human body when he want by Eddie. She is barraged by gunfire from Hot Shot and X-Brawn. As she tosses Side Burn aside, she transforms and flies through the roof of the lab. Thunderblast We’ll meet again, Autobots! The dust settles, and Hot Shot and X-Brawn run over to Side Burn, who’s completely catatonic. Side Burn This... this is it. No more turning back for me. X-Brawn I’m sorry kid. Hot Shot I’m sorry too, Eddie. Side Burn I should’ve never gotten into this! (Pause) Hot Shot and X-Brawn look at each other utterly distraught. (Continued) But from now on... the fight belongs to us! ~ To be continued. Go @Dinobotenforcer !
The Decepticon Flagship Megatron:Report. Soundwave:Our plan is nearing fruition. Megatron:Good. Soon the universe will cower beneath me. Soundwave: With respect my liege, we must not become overconfident in our abilities. Starscream is.... Megatron:ENOUGH!!! All are beneath me! You Soundwave...are beneath me. Soundwave:Forgive me Megatron. I only meant to advise you. Megatron: I don't need your help. Soundwave:Megatron.....is something wrong?....you seem.....agitated. (Pause) Megatron looks at the ground and closes his eyes. Megatron: Leave me. Soundwave:As you command. Soundwave exits the room; the doors closing behind him. *THUD* Megatron falls to the ground clutching his chest. Meanwhile on earth....... Starscream:You have served me well......Krok. Krok(over comms):-I bet Megatron and Soundwave still think we're on their side. Not to mention Slipstream and the others. Starscream:By the time the fighting is done Megatron should already be dead. With the old fool and the Autobots out of the way we can FINALLY seize control of the Decepticons. Krok:What if Megs survives......he's powerful....or if the Autobots can.... Starscream:You worry too much. Megatron was way past his prime BEFORE we started giving him his....."energon."Our forces should be done with the Autobots soon.
