Ironhide's feet hanging off the back of the van shouldn't matter, since according to the MP threads everyone permanently displays their Transformers in a straight-on front-facing view.

You have to keep in mind, though, that that’s not everyone. Some people do that, some people display vehicle mode. Some put them on shelves or leave them sealed, some constantly play with them. Everyone enjoys things differently. It’s important for the figures to cater to as many people as possible. I’m constantly flipping my figures between modes and playing with them, so what I find important are robot mode, vehicle mode, articulation and transformation. That’s not true of everyone, though. Everyone’s different.

I mean my choice for van bro’s will be either Siege Cybertronian or these very eighties vans but with very cybertronian wheels and eh 3 different plastics kinda inferring a row of side windows!?

Also I can accept for Ironhide, but what is ‘doc’ Ratchet going to do with a riot shied or even surf sled? Especially if it cuts into accessory budget like with IH.

The datsuns are like a clip-on away from ideal but another $40+ to get the van boys only halfway there is asking a bit much (for me).

I agree that this will likely be what happens. Thankfully I’m in the camp of not gonna buy it and not completionist. Very happy with the siege versions. I don’t think the figures are bad, ironhides feet for sure bothered me even in siege, fillers fixed that. Prowl is nice but meh and ironhide is more or less a re-paneled siege which was and still is a great figure.

 

Or lack there of.

I\'m happy with the combiner wars Ironhide, I hate having to \"upgrade\" everything so often from one G1 version to the next.. at least combiner wars Ironhide is useful.. Prowl too for that matter .. shit.. all of them I suppose .. 

 

its pretty evident too if you go back to some of PVP reviews. His cliffjumper has 2 right hands. He reviewed optimus missing his rifle. His original gulf was missing accessories. He omits pointing these out in the reviews but later when they’re mass released his figures have all their accessories and correct limbs

Hmm, pondering if I should cancel the Ironhide and Prowl set. Prowl looks fairly decent, but I'd rather have Barricade. Only reason I got Siege Prowl was for his pew pew to make a custom resin copy for Barricade.

Ironhide has no feasible way to fix his alt mode.

 

my only complaint for IH in alt mode are those feet kibbles.....they are such eye sore.... i hope some 3p will come up with some sort of upgrades to hide those feet..

 

Being someone that probably won't have Iornhide in alt mode I can forgive the problems. That's not to say they shouldn't have worked a little harder on it, but for such a good bot mode, I am sure I will get over it.
