if you feel like that and dont own one. than just stop following the thread or posting. the world will keep on spinning.

im glad you enjoy zetacron and all it has to offer it is a cool bot. but it just happens to be way too small for some and a different look for others.

But... isn't Unicron the one example where "less surface detail" actually equals worse animation accuracy, and more detail is greater accuracy? Unicron had tons of small surface texturing in the Movie! Zeta's honestly looks far too smooth.

That's why I'm trying to figure out.

Yeah that's certainly possible, but generally, clickbait doesn't intend to antagonize in my experience.

The retractable ones that homage the comics? You can retract them so they are all gnarly and serrated

Of course it does. You get comments and other people visiting from other sites where the article gets linked when you antagonise. And that's the whole point here, page-views for advertising.

Oh, so the teeth can be hidden? That's cool.
Will look much better without a mouth full of pointy fangs IMO.

It's never going to really be close to the best Unicron head for me of course. I own Bot-Sculptors custom Unicron head and that thing is gorgeous!

So after seeing the most recent update, it occurs to me that I'm going to need to focus on getting my collection room finally organized so I can figure out where he's going to go. I don't even have a place to put him in the "deal with it later" area. That box is massive.

No shit. You'd think they'd have learned their lesson after Zeta got slapped for trying to leverage the Haslab press last time.

The Ignore feature is a Godsend.

Man, reading through all of these arguments is exhausting. When will we see more valuable posts like those from Qibiri?

They're not, but that's kind of what makes them great. They're really intuitive to just pick up and fiddle with while still having a pretty impressive amount of detail.

It has nothing to do with people "getting their knickers in a twist". This isn't the thread to hawk a 3p unicron. Talk about it in comparison to the official one, sure, but page after page of people trying to sell others on the 3p one is pretty damn annoying, especially when they result to insulting people that call them out on it

ER stuff isn't complex because it's based on G1. Those figures weren't complex, so translating those transformations to modern toys isn't as hard as the Bayverse where they either have to be made up of panels or be a robot folded up in a car shell.

The only reason some of the figures had to get creative for ER was because there wasn't an easy way to go from screen accurate bot to screen accurate vehicle.

Kingdom will be interesting because the BW toys and animation models were *pretty close* in alignment and we've seen how panel-crazy the BW MPs have been to get the accuracy they needed.

For the most part, they could follow the transformation of the original toys.

I, too, agree with the article in principle, if perhaps I do think the guy goes too far and thus hurts his argument. There has been a trend toward more complex figures that I've always disdained. I simply recognize that there have been steps to correct that with more recent lines.

I'm not getting Unicron, so I've really had no reason to comment on the "50 minutes to transform" thing, but to the extent that's actually the truth, it would certainly be another reason I'm just as glad not to be getting him.

I'm really not interested in Transformers just as display pieces (even while acknowledging that the vast majority end up primarily as that within my own collection). I want to be able to pick a Transformer off of my shelf, and not have to look for the instruction booklet to be able to change it, and for a not-insignificant part of my collection, that's simply not possible.

Just reminding everyone to stay on topic and not bicker. Zeta's product can be discussed here but only in the context of Hasbro's as this IS the thread for HASLAB Unicron. No disrespecting of others' opinions and no forcing of one or the other.

Just remember this isn't a Haslab vs. Zeta thread.

    Geez. Those instructions.
The actual handling of robot mode part starts at step 260.

Crazy that the transformation to planet mode takes an hour to complete and the instructions booklet is 32 pages long

I want to see a video of a cat vs. Unicron as it tries to devour the cat!

I can't help but wonder if the guy was trying to build hype by overselling the complexity of Unicron's transformation (like, "hey, it takes 1 hour to convert! It's complex and cool! Totally worth $600!") because from the previous video the process didn't seem nowhere as long. Unless maybe going from robot to planet is significantly harder...
