Long enough to make Megatron go "WOAH!" This is an old picture I took just to kinda mess around before being more serious about it. I would help, but I've got him in bot mode atm.

I started painting mine up the other day. If you're gonna custom paint this figure be sure to have a grey AND black panel liner marker!

 

Sorry for the double-post, but it seemed like there was enough of a gap behind his head that I felt he should be able to look up EVEN MORE, and it turns out I WAS RIGHT! I cut the tab circled in red, and loosened up the collar area, and now he can look up a LOT more, adding even more personality to this incredible figure:

 

So I got a wierd email from Target tonight claiming he was instock. Of course when I clicked on the link, he wasn't. I came in here to see if he had been and anybody had gotten lucky (vs more of Target's websites just running badly- like the exclusives preorders). Based off the number of days since anybody has posted in here I'm going to assume no one managed to get one (probably there were none to get).

Starscream is super-expressive and broadly looks the part, but the lack of paint and some use of bendy & swirly plastic makes him feel a bit mainline in-hand.




Wish I wasn't such a cack-handed painter, because he'd really come to life with some extra shading and detail colouring.

I didn’t realize how much bigger he is than HFTD Starscream.



Anybody need a HTFD Starscream?

 

People must be living nearby awesome Target stores. I just came back from a Target nearby and they didn't even have any Earthrise figures  

 

Starscream is great, he has good articulation, a fun transformation, and a lot of details. I kind of agree that he needs more paint but once you have him in hand it is not as bad as in the reviews. Looking forward to getting Ratchet.

In a sort of bad news, I was going to use MP Dinobot's stand to pose Starscream in flight and connected the peg in the square butt plate of Starscream and in a moment of clumsiness, the figure's weight snapped off the peg and now is stuck in the buttplate. I need to figure out how to remove it and save it.

 

Could you hand drill a small hole in the peg to pull it out?

 

I want to avoid it to salvage the pin. I will get some flat pliers and try that. Drilling the peg is the last resort, fortunately it doesn't prevent the transformation.

 

Just ordered it from Target and arriving this Wednesday (hopefully). $160.00 including tax.

 

I managed to get a starscream for $157 shipped from target, should be here thursday. I was "ok" with my BMB LS-04S, but this is a little taller and seems to be much more detailed. If i don't like it, I can just return it to the store and give someone a chance to grab it locally. I can just put my ROTF screamer with my BMB ROTF Megs anyhow

 

I don't know why, but I just can't pull the trigger on this guy...

 

Has anyone figured out the "Not Available to Ship" thing?
It DOES say not eligible for SAME DAY shipping, but how do you just preorder for normal shipping then?

 

The lack of paint is killing this.

I'm weak. I saw him on the shelf at target today and bought him on sight. Transforming him now and will post impressions and pics probably tomorrow.
