just saw PVP's review and ill drop my 2 cents here if anybody cares: yikes, that ironhide is weird. the mismatched colour scheme bothers me a lot, as does some of the paint apps in vehicle mode. i think ill just have to paint him up or maybe finally get some toyhax. but that prowl, oh my god that prowl. it's just a mini version of the MP Prowl ive been wanting since i first saw prowl all those year ago. that robot mode is perfect and the vehicle mode, even more so. this might be my favourite ER figure so far. the wrong head's a bit of a bummer but i'll live. i',m more worried about the clear plastic legs. i dont want to just leave this guy on the shelf in fear of him breaking. hopefully its durable enough

 

I literally just posted about this elsewhere. I share your concern, and wish that Hastak had chosen to make the lower legs with regular plastic and just painted the rear window. So close to perfect. :/

They're vastly different figures. You can also wait for the Netflix version if you want to save up money for now.

Probably many years and years and years and years... The only people that's happened to are modders who try to paint over the windows, and the solvent in the paint melts the plastic.

 

Bluestreak's head on Prowl really bugs me.

 

If someone were to offer replacement wheels, where you don't see that fisher price connector anymore, I'd buy Prowl and Smokescreen...

 

ER OP is A Tier, but I know it can be improved upon.
ER CJ is B Tier, with a lack of armature connecting the rear end being what holds it back a bit.
ER G is S Tier, with it's only problem being tolerences.
ER WJ is B Tier, with it's overall color scheme being a bit lack luster.
ER SS is C Tier, with it being a classics 2.0 being what hinders it for me.
ER DD is B Tier, with it's overall design being a tad underwhelming.

 

This is where I am with this figure: I already have the Siege version of Prowl and I'm getting Earthrise Smokescreen since I skipped his Siege figure. I'm not missing out on the character in my collection and I'm not missing out on the mold so I really don't see a benefit to getting the Earthrise Prowl.

That folks is how I logic my way into myself into controlling my collecting and hence my spending. Or to use a line from The Big Chill: "I don't know anyone who could get through the day without two or three juicy rationalizations."

Mirage, Sideswipe, Hound, & Barricade

 

I can't see any of these happening other than maybe barricade

 

Anyone notice that PrimeVsPrime now has Blue blasters for his Smokescreen while in his Smokescreen review he had Gray ones?

 

Mirage is a simple repaint, Hound/Sideswipe have been teased all over EARTHRISE promo art, & Barricade is supposedly in production if the current rumors are true.

 

I know a lot of people hope otherwise but i do want the remaining siege autobots without earth modes to get them because i don't plan on buying stickers or upgrade sets to make them look earthish so they stick out a bit in my collection atm. Hound could be a simple remold just changing his backpack piece to have seats, Sideswipe would be a more extensive remold but i could see an Ironhide situation where the shell is reworked, and finally Mirage i hope can get a new mold for his earth form but I'd also be happy with a repaint as long as most of his alt mode isn't transparent anymore.

But does she play golf?

I really like this new Prime figure. It is so well done. And while I have my issues with the trailer, I am so glad the trailer was included. The trailer it’s self, I like the plastic quality. Instead of hard brittle plastic they went with something slightly soft, which to me is more durable. The trailer with what it is; such a great durable diorama

Hey Shin, do you know if the same Masterpiece designer who worked on EarthRise Prime also worked on the EarthRise Cliff Jumper/Bumblebee mold? While tiny , those two have way better articulation and proper wheel pegging (not that cheap clip on deal). Bumblebee out of the Cliff Jumper mold looks great. Might get.

 

I think this would be the better solution. Rather than building a cover. The shoulders could be rounded off and I think the shield could be shrank if some pieces were cut off and added to the legs and four arms. I don't think I will get him but I almost want to so I could try.

Yes I’m being silly but it’s also true in my mind.

 

It almost feels as if Hastak phoned in the engineering of ER Iron Hide with the different shades of red and the feet sticking out the back.

Can't be effective disguise if you can spot the altmode a mile away.
