I guess in the interests of full disclosure I should say that I also opted for BC Sunstreaker over the official MP one? :D  Clearly I'm deranged! That was for a multitude of reasons though. In general I like BC's stuff, and wish they were still around making things. The only figure of theirs I don't care much for is their Swerve; mold worked much better as Gears. But I have generally like FT's stuff, including their original Seaspray, so I'm kind of at a loss why Sheridan and Hunk have not excited me much. They're both good though.

Ok, family photo time! The alternate face really is the better option for him. Also, tastes as to Hunk may vary, but hopefully we can all agree that the New Age Brawn/Outback are super.

Finally had a chance to mess around with Hunk. I'm pretty happy with it so far, other than the flap that pops out on the underside of his vehicle mode.
I became more impressed with the robot mode, once I actually had him in hand. I'm hoping Fanstoys will do more season 1 minibots.

Yes it's all down to personal preference and all is in the eye of the beholder, but Brawn was the only character until now that I'd rather have missing than buy what was available on the market, such was my dislike of brawny's aesthetics. This also goes for Wardog for me. Anyway, we as collectors should be very happy that in this day and age we have multiple choices and we will all have unique character collections and not be stuck with all the same stuff.

    Thanks!

The girder is from an old Toybiz Spiderman Classics figure, and the effects are from the recent Marvel Legends Black Widow figure. I bought the figure specifically for the effects and display stand.

How come so late, didn't you get it from TFS, if you didn't, where did you get yours? I'm highly interested just not at the TT prices most are charging!

    Pretty decent comparison I think.

TL;DW: Hunk wins pretty much only because of paint.

You thinking on it, this is really the first time FT has done with a pre-existing recolor that is a separate character.

Just hope for future ones they don't go the super exclusive (even more) bloated pricing. Like $500 for Diaclone Bluestreak or Hotlink.

Just got mine today. Heavy little guy and definitely the best looking G1 MP Brawn out. I had Badcube's Brawny, but it didn't fit in with the current toon esthetic.

The knees and hip joints seemed a tad loose, but fixed that up with some Kiki fluid. The neck/head part sucked to move, but fixed that with some Shock Oil as well as adding oil to the arm swivels sections.

Noticed that the flaps that make up the rear section weren't tabbed correctly out the box, so I just had to make sure everything was flush.

Pros: Looks the "Brawn" part; heavy; good paint; nice looking accessories
Mehs: No true waste swivel without needing to unhinge stuff; green color could have been darker IMO
Cons: That head section could have used some work

Not transforming this guy, but I must admit the alt mode isn't as good looking as Badcube's Brawny. However, I still recommend him.

Although limited, I'd say it works for this mold. Shock Oil definitely helped!

Yeah the head joint is stupidly tight and I don't mess with him to much because well, I don't think he's fun to mess with so that's why I missed that I guess. He looks darn good on my shelf though so I'm still pretty happy with him. Thanks for the reply!

I assume he means Brawn is the first character Fanstoys has done whose G1 toy shared a mold with another character (namely, Outback).

But I feel like that's a moot point since Outback was so different from Brawn in the cartoon that he'll end up being a new mold whenever Fanstoys ends up getting to him.
