Best practice would dictate to take care of and communicate to the customers who have committed to buying, prior to updating and posting said item on the site.

I have no idea what you're even saying. Clearly we are not seeing the same issue. Wish you the best, glad you got the item. My side seems to be resolved as well (still don't like the way it has been handled).

So the issues so far with this figure is the rear panel under vehicle form, which doesn't tab properly, some loose knee and some toe not tabbing. Are those the main list of issues? How much people has had any of them? I keep thinking if getting the figure or not.

I've collected worse ... like money.

Then I found 3P and was redeemed.

Pretty much those you listed. The panel under the truck mode I'm 99.999% sure is from people not transforming him correctly. If bent properly at the correct panel joints, it will fit in the side tabs just fine. No issues with my copy. I'm waiting on my second copy to confirm.

He's worth getting imho. But I'm a huge G1 Brawn fan.

Most people seem to agree this guy is better in hand than he might look in some pics. I’d say he’s one of the best minibots we have so far.

EDIT: After making my post and looking at the pictures again, I have to say there's something about FT stuff that always seems to look better in pictures - even crappy ones like mine - than in person. When I look at the pictures, Hunk looks way better to me than when I look at him in person. God, I hope I don't feel this way about Thomas.

Ok, @Turbine027 , I am keeping my word: My Hunk came in today, and so here are a few pics of him with BC Brawny. They are not very GOOD pics, but they are pics! Please forgive the terrible lighting in my study/warzone. My light is a little harsh and so Hunk looks slightly lighter in the pics than in hand. I threw in BC Outback (can't remember his "real" name) because he is a good boy. He and Hunk actually look ok together, and I kind of like having different companies' versions of G1 mold mates. You be the judge: who is the Schwarzenegger and who is the DeVito?

First of all, shout out to tj_dynng-8, who despite his name is not an Imperial Stormtrooper but a Chinese eBay seller. He's on the Good List but I'd never purchased from him before, so was slightly expecting a box of rocks. He shipped quickly (I ordered July 20), my SpeedPak had tracking the entire duration, and I wasn't grossly overcharged ($105 shipped) by Hunk standards. Based on this experience I would recommend him.

So, just like Sheridan, I'm a little let down by Hunk. Let me be clear that Hunk is definitely a very polished figure, and he presents pretty well from nearly all angles. He is definitely cleaner than Brawny, and obviously far more show accurate. What I feel he lacks is character, personality, a spark, which I feel Brawny has in spades. Brawny looks beefy as hell and has some attitude. I prefer his wide and deep barrel chest, it seems more fitting. Honestly he looks like he could tear through a couple of Hunks without much effort. Also, I much prefer the darker green on Brawny, though in a vacuum Hunk's color is just fine. I also think the darker grey on Brawny's forearms looks better than the light grey FT used, but again it's fine.

Where Brawny comes up short aesthetically is his legs. Those side panels are pretty lazy and really detract from his look. But I couldn't replicate his pose on my Hunk. Hunk can't seem to do that little pelvic thrust thing because of his hip joints. Also, I know Hunk does have some waist articulation, but mine is so stiff there that even after disengaging the backpack I'm afraid to force it. I'll probably have to ease it in a bit.

So once again, toon slavishness arrives intact but loses some liveliness in the process. And I've again let FOMO cause me to part with $100 I might as well have kept. I don't regret buying him, and I'm going to keep him - he is at bottom a very good little figure - but I really think this time for real I am done replacing characters. I don't have any figures in my collection anymore that keep me up at night, so why replace them when that same money could buy a new character or maybe even pay a living cost? Imagine the possibilities!

That said I'm an Outback fiend so if FT does a retool, I'm probably their huckleberry.

I find myself agreeing a ton with what you said.
Brawny actually seems like the better figure overall because he somehow comes off more alive. I think I will probably sell hunk at some point. About the only thing Hunk has over brawny imo is the eyes, the colours are hard to see on brawny and so can look a bit dead, but everything else from bot mode to beefiness to alt mode, I honestly think brawny is better.
This purchase has also taught me to think twice about just replacing figures when I don't necessarily have a major issue with the one I own. I was about to pull the trigger on the cang toys predacons but then realized, after watching reviews, they just don't cut it for me. Money saved.

@MINDVVIPE Like I said, I don't regret buying him per se, but if I could rewind time I would stick with my gut instinct and skip him. I do think Hunk's alternate face, the screamy one, is pretty well done and adds a bit of charm to him. As others have mentioned, it would have been nice to have a toy face option. He's very light on accessories, and while for a while there I thought 3P collectors were drowning in too many gimmicky pack-ins, he really could have used a little something to spice him up.

I would have settled for better articulation all around really. That would have done a lot, I also would have liked a bit more of a smooth alt mode. With the transformation, it leaves many areas along the sides kinda off angle as everything fights to fit into their spaces.
I know it seems minor in photos but, even with massaging, there's those off angles where everything connects and it just makes for an untidy alt mode for the obsessive, ultra OCD person that I am.

Man, I get he’s not your cup of tea but every time I see him next to Brawny, Hunk just shines twice as hard.

I feel like people preferring Brawny has to come down to owning him so long you just get used to his Freaky Quasimodo looks like an old couch or something. Whenever I see him in a collection he stands out like a sore thumb.

I have owned him for years and he's spent 85% of that time in alt mode (attached old image of where had stayed most of the time)
    So, no.
It's just preferance. No need to start suggesting people aren't speaking truthfully based on some subconscious bias. Hunk has his pros, and he does present well in both modes on a shelf, but there's still something to be said for Brawny's charm and personality that comes through from the robot mode. If you disagree, cool.

Oh yeah, I’m not saying anyone’s wrong, everyone can live their best Brawn life! Just saying to me Brawny always looked strange and I was prepared to have a Brawn-less collection before this.

I'm not a fan of Hunk's feet... But they fit the aesthetic, for better or worse. But overall he's way better than Brawny.

Brawny's aesthetics haven't aged well, his loooong arms have always bugged me, and his face is just... Meh. I wish I could have something in between the two... A more heroic Hunk (so to speak), but at least Hunk is less of a placeholder to me.

I got rid of most of my other Bad Cube figures for similar reasons. Lack paint, thin plastic, doesn't fit with the fit and finish off the rest of my collection.
