This new Ironhide looks really great, but yeah those feet are super weird. They could've remolded them to look like literally anything since they don't effect the look of robot mode, and yet they went with something that does nothing but make the van look like it just gave up being a van last second. Oh well, it's not too bad considering Ironhide's prior toy history at least. Still looking forward to the figure.

If this is accurate, then Hasbro really doesn't even care what it's doing anymore.

They just know people will buy it, and to hell with accuracy....but hey....at least it isn't a partsformer right?

 

Despite appearances, the head is actually a completely new piece that must be removed during transformation. If one fails to do so, the figure will come to life at 3AM to reek havoc on its owner.

 

It's exactly the fact that it seems to be a step of... belligerent laziness I guess, above what Hasbro has demonstrated previously, that makes me think the render is a Siege Red Alert render situation, where the render is using the part(s) for another use of the mold instead of the one it's actually gonna end up having, and the physical stock photos from Hasbro and Takara, and final in-hand product shots, will end up with at least the right head, if not also the alternate frontend/chest Prowl's displayed.

Yep, learned that lesson with the Trailbreaker Shoulder Panel thing I conjectured purely based on the render.

 

I got my for 15 and Netflix version is still better.

I cannot make it out, but does Ironhide have a new head as well? I seem to see it has less detail than the Siege head, but I am not sure. At any rate, love it. Great nod that the gun is like the silver gun on the G1 toy. Don\'t mind the shield, we saw you can put it on his back. The G1 toy partsformed too. Here is hoping Ratchet will have some new tools!

WOOOW. Mind blown. I had Red Alert for a year now, and I never noticed! Mind you the only difference seems to be his helmet's "horns" are slightly shorter, but I never realized he had a different head.
Well, both Siege Prowl and Bluestreak use Prowl's head. So maybe Earthrise Bluestreak and Prowl will both have Bluestreak heads... then you can swap if you have all 4.  

Yeah, surely Hasbro doesn't care. That's why they are releasing an Earth mode of Ironhide that people have been pining for since the disappointing Universe/Henkei mold most people hated. They are truly a bunch of uncaring bastards only in it for the money! [/sarcasm]

Not much else they could have done, really. The Mazda van originally has a flat end so the new feet would have faced the wrong way. And this is a big and heavy Deluxe, who needs large feet to stand. Yeah the feet is off, but this being a remold (many parts are the same) I think we got the best we could from it.

Btw, seeing the comparisons reminds me how terrible that MP Ironhide is. He has giant diapers!

Thanks, so I was assuming right. They did the same with Smokescreen too, to make them more G1 toon accurate as opposed to the more greebles of Siege.

 

Nice, updated Ironhide too! This line just keeps'em coming. Both versions of Ironhide in one collection (maybe even a dead Ironhide next).

Am I the only one that thinks his feet hanging off the back like that looks like my 2yr old daughter trying to hide under an end table and getting stuck?

 

Honestly, that's why I was so surprised we got an ER Ironhide, let alone one that looks as good as it does because I never thought they'd be able to remold that mold into a van.

In all honesty, I believe this is the best bumblee we ever got, but, for my taste(!) people may have issues about different stuff, but probably what some people want is an issue for my taste, so this bee, with its shade of yellow, coupled with the cliffjumper we got in ER, (especially with the G1 toy deco instead of the G1 cartoon deco) is all I could have asked for as a bumblebee and cliffjumper duo.

And believe me, I have been waiting for this combination for over 9 years!! (Dotm cyberverse bee and prime cyberverse cliffjumper are kind of what got me into Transformers after a very long break)
