After watching both Elita's and Ironhide's reviews I gotta say I like them more than I would have thought.

I find Elita 100 times more appealing than Arcee. Maybe its because I already have an Arcee that I like a heck of a lot better in the T30 Deluxe. I have the PotP Elita, but that one serves another purpose, is a Jet (which I like btw) and has the physique of a body builder. I like her despite her flaws, but I think that one is too big for the new WFC scale, especially standing next to Siege or ER Optimus. I know she's a lot taller in the show, but to me this scale works better for my eye.

I expected to kinda hate Ironhide. I'm not gonna get the set since I'm cool with Siege Prowl and Ironhide, but I feel this new one works well enough. I would definitely get him if I didn't have the Siege.

 

She looks fantastic, But I think image 36 might be a bit too much.

 

Yeah I understand to. So from a semi-avid collector of Fembot's, I'll eventually buy her but refer to her in my Fembot collection as "Ariel" and not Elita since Elita1 deserve's Voyager status and not some crappy ass POTP Starscream mold with Popeye forearms.

So mind you just because I'm saying this, I wouldn't be surprised (after I bought this version) if a Selects Ariel figure did pop up later down the line with a head scalp that looked more like this:

Hell, if 3rd makes a decent head scalp of this pic then it's "Off with her head"!

 

I think of very few instances where shields have looked cool, and pretending chunks of car parts are shields does very little to change that opinion.

I think like Ironhide’s chest being darker. The silver of siege never really sat right with me. Didn’t like seeing into his chest. At least it looks like there’s something behind it to fill it in the ER version.

 

Agreed. Only time I liked it was with Universe Onslaught. I really liked the direction they went with the whole SWAT theme.

 

You seem confused about how exclusives work. Sometimes they have extra paint apps budgeted in because that can be decided at a later date once the mold is finalized and an agreement has been met between Hasbro and the vendor. They don't make engineering decisions based on the selling outlet typically and the reason they're exclusives is because Hasbro is shopping extra product that wouldn't be in the mainline and have no release outlet, to retailers as a special release in their stores to entice them into providing it to the consumer. It's become harder for Hasbro to sell cases with repaints and remolds in the mainline to retailers which is why we're seeing things like Ironhide as the mainline release, Ratchet as the exclusive. Or Prowl as the mainline release, Bluestreak in the Walmartt 35th and Smokescreen as the Selects release.

 

Not gonna lie, Elita and Optimus photos are cute!

 

For sure, that was a really unique figure with a cool theme.

 

I haven't even bought this and I've already lost her gun.

 

Thrilling 30 Arcee, Thrilling 30 Windblade, Combiner Wars Powerglide, Titans Return Brawn, Titans Return Seaspray, Power of the Primes Beachcomber, Power of the Primes Windcharger, SIEGE Sideswipe, SIEGE Hound, SIEGE Impactor, SIEGE Chromia, SIEGE Jetfire, EARTHRISE Wheeljack, EARTHRISE Hoist, EARTHRISE Smokescreen, EARTHRISE Sunstreaker, EARTHRISE Grapple, EARTHRISE Optimus Prime, & EARTHRISE Sky Lynx are all great Hasbro figures IMO.

All without parts-forming and most without excessive kibble/backpacks.

Now I don't hate EARTHRISE Cliffjumper, Netflix Bumblebee, EARHTRISE Trailbreaker, or EARTHRISE Ironhide but I am disappointed in them because in that great line up of fantastic figures they stand out as the ones that Hasbro didn't care enough about to bring up to par with the others I previously listed.

All I want is Hasbro to either have no parts-forming with the compromise of some Kibble/Backpack or be smarter about the parts-forming and have the part actually convert into an accessory I'd want to display my figure with and not just be a solid chunk of plastic I end up pegging onto it's back.

I think EARTHRISE Ironhide's shield/sled is a step in that direction but it's still a far cry from something like Classics Optimus Prime's Smokestacks and Wind Deflector blasters or some of the Beast Wars figures integrated weaponry.

As for the Earthrise Ironhide, you can stick on the Autobot sticker on the gray square below the windshield...

 

So I watched all three reviews (Bee, Ironhide, and Elita) So where do we start here....

Bumblebee: He is really really good. Like its tempting me to order up Cliffjumper and have an experience with that mold because holy Heck he is adorable.

Ironhide: He's good......but that shield feels like an after thought and I guess get him if you never got Siege Ironhide.....just get Siege for the famous SMASH FUCKER. His gun....just give him Bee/Cliff's gun if you're into the Bayverse look

Elita-1: She's better looking then ER Arcee....at least she scales alright with Optimus...I know some of you would prefer the G1 head....but it is what it is.

 

Wow. I can’t believe how bad MP Ironhide bot mode is! The proportions are just a joke. I was also surprised to see ER IH got new, less greebley shoulders then Siege, since they look to be virtually the exact same overall shape.

wish they’d figured out a gimmick to get an Autobot emblem under his window In bot mode like Legends Blurr had (iirc), but overall I’m still really impressed with what they pulled off given he’s a remold of Siege IH.

I was going to grip that I wished they’d at least painted the faux back windows in alt mode, but seeing how they end up on his shins I can understand why they didn’t.

The only thing I\'m steamed about are the STUPID FEET!!! :0 WHY??? Why didn\'t they do something to hide them? On the seige, it was one thing because the vehicle mode was not meant to be a disguise but
here with the earth mode you would think that they would fix that. What a drag; its almost perfect.

Yeah Ironhide confirmed for ebay day 1, i just wanted the Prowl to begin with.
