I don't care what some others say. Badcube's Steamroll is the best Sideswipe on the market and it likely be a long time before he is dethroned.

*Edit so I figured out the transformation and that confirmed both legs needed the fix which I figured out in the end unfortunately one side got scratched up I'm the process

Fixed the hip today and it actually wasn't that difficult (of course i'm saying that afterwards). My biggest concern was
the thigh panel. I didn't want to pry it too open which would result in a loose knee. In a video i watched it was said to
apply pressure on the panel while pulling out the hip pin or pushing it back in. Didn't work for me. You can easily unscrew
both screws without fearing that the thigh panel will loosen up to much, it's super tight. At least on my figure.

The trick is to apply just enough pressure to pry the panel open wide enough to pull the pin out or push it back in. Also the leg
should be straight otherwise you won't get the pin back in. Try to push the pin in while holding it in a sharp angle and also really
helpful is having slightly longer fingernails. If not this could end in ouchies. The combination of fingernail and spudger did the trick.

All in all it took longer than i wanted to (and i don't believe that it's easily done in 5 minutes) but now i feel a real connection
to my toy which is kinda weird...

Was gonna say the same thing. Pic 1 looks good, but a couple of the others at angles make me doubt my first impression...

I think I'll wait it out for the 2nd run in September. Why tempt fate. Good info.

Scan the QR code on the box for a transformation video.

The hip skirts should be virtually flush with the top of the legs with only the slightest gap visible. It's readily apparent when you look at it dead on and there are quite a few pictures in this thread that show it.

    I couldn't tell till I tried transformation

    they were both wrong

I have no idea how to scan QR codes, do you need an app? They were both wrong and I couldn't tell at all till the transformation failed, I couldn't see a difference in any of the pictures in the thread either.

I fixed both hips on Mirage but didn't use any of the methods I've seen.

I just took out the pins, and after that it was childs play to unscrew, flip, screw back together and put the pins back in.
1.Take a hammer and a nail that fits in the pinhole.
    2. Put the leg on the edge of a table so the pin has room to exit.
    3. Place the nail on the pinhole on the outside of the knee.
    4. Gently hammer it until a little piece of the pin sticks out. It should be the rigged part.
    5. Take the pin out with some pliers.
    6. Do the fix
    7. Put the pin back in the way it came out. Smooth side first.
You can use the flat side of the pliers to push it all the way in.
Took me no more than a couple of minutes.
Do this at your own risk off course.
I used this many times to fix the floppy legs on the KO MP Labos and Datsuns.

QR codes need an app. But all they do is send you to a url. If you need it at all, let me know and I'll scan mine and copy the url for you.

You're going to have to watch a video or two from the thread to see how to do the switch, unless you're happy knocking out pins. I must admit I thought if doing that myself as I've got a pin punch, but given how easy that first fix video killed the knees I didn't want to risk it. Now we know it's doable, that's a legit option

If you have an iPhone or an Android device that's relatively up to date you can just scan the code from the camera. No need for an app.

Mirrors my experience - I made the mistake of saying a few reissues would be nice, only to be rounded on as some newbie collector who should pay through the nose for arriving to the scene late.

Except I've got every FT release I've wanted since Quakewave and was just saying it would be nice for others who wanted the toys. Just totally entitled, smug asshats. Left pretty quickly after that.

Fanstoys itself I have no issue with - Dalianjj has been marvellous when I needed a part for Queitus. Doesn't mean I don't also love some other manufacturers.

I was pretty bummed when I got bumped to the second wave list for this by TFS, I was really looking forward to it. Looks amazing and I dig their Prime, so I have high hopes. Just have to play the waiting game...

'Tis witchcraft! But yeah, it's pretty handy. The vid is the first one that did the rounds a while back, set to the love theme from Romeo and Juliet.

Yeah...I only remain a member in that group for potential updates. Often they post preorder links before I see them anywhere else for instance.
