    Got mine from showz.
I was expecting ft Koot or ft magnum first, but this guy came so fast.
Already found paintchipping and sproolmarks out of the box.
And i also see that mine has his left leg missassembled.
Gotta check it out next week. No time for it this week.

Said it before and I'll say it again - regardless of the misassembled leg thing, this thing fits into the Takara aesthetic like no Third party carbot, before or since.

I'd say Badcube Sideswipe & Red alert are pretty spot on toon and matched Takaras new approach long ago In fact the red alert is accurate vehicle to the toon with the coupe rear which even Takara forgot to do

Headsculpt is the only thing off on badcube sideswipe. Body wise all the proportions look good!

i totally disagree. See , TE mirage manages to recreate those beautiful Curvy feature like Takara did , while BC looks boring with none of the curves and silly body. The arms are mildly acceptable , but them legs are shore to look at.
So glad I sold him. Cannot wait for Mirage.

no. Those legs on BC SW are too straight and block , it doesn't even recreate the known feet.
As I said , it lack the curves line , which is aesthetic of 80s toon/ anime vibes design.
BC did good job at compressing the chest , but accurate? Even after repainted him with correct color , i'm still irking at how boringly straight and generic he is.

you can see how TE Mirage managed to recreate those curve on his thigh and calves, look sexy.

I customized my BC swipe and now his legs (well, his thighs) look perfect. Other than the that tho...he is superior to the TT release in just about every way. That said, the mp12 mold is old and that comparison is not really fair.

yeah after you upgrade , which majority of us cannot.
Of course he look half better than MP Sidewipe , but having his + version alone with the new color palette still look more pleasing than BC. I'm waiting to see if TE can do a sidewipe.

His chest is still too big, his chest should be pretty much in proportions to Sunstreakers.

Agree to disagree. I think they got the proportions down, doesn't look bulky like mp12 does. Also I always loved the cannon being apart of the figure. That was the first time I came across a figure that incorporates a shoulder cannon into the figure itself. If he had a better headsculpt then I think I'd be more than happy. That being said it's not perfect of course. If TE tackled the figure with the more toon look then that'd be awesome.

Still looks a lot better than either of the official offerings... Anyway, Badcube has never been known for its super toon-centric figures. They capture the essence, but they're not slavishly accurate. That said, there's room for pretty much every bot in my collection to be redone in a far more toon accurate style.

BC Sideswipe is beatable, but it's easily the best option available...and more than good enough to call him done. Same with this guy...at least based off pics. He could be improved on (and TE might do it themselves a couple times over,) but I can't see buying another Mirage after I get this guy. I was almost content with MMC, but I always thought he looked just a bit off...more Hasui-style. Mostly toon accurate, but features a bit of toy, comic, or other G1 sources with real world alt mode.

I agree. Once I got Steamroll, and replaced Sunsurge and Willis with the official Takara versions, the only ones left on the chopping block that were just "the best we have so far" were Sphinx and Downbeat. This wipes the floor with Sphinx, and I just can't wait for a better Jazz to come along.

Yep, the extra $6 shipping was worth it, showed in up after a few weeks instead of a few months. I thought mine was mis-assembled as well when opening it up but after moving all the joints around, I think it's correct.

    IMG_8133.JPG IMG_8136.JPG IMG_8138.JPG IMG_8137.JPG IMG_8187.JPG

There are several moving parts going on at the hips, some that working in the same direction, so you really have to align each section to see if the legs match. My first/in-plastic pic definitely has more showing on his right leg. But I think it's all good based on my assumption that you want the extra mass of the hip circle/ball to be protruding downwards. I haven't transformed him yet so we'll see.

Your right leg is definitely wrong. If he stands straight then the left is too. You can see too much of the ball joint, that's the indicator

Just got from ShowZ. It looks like I'm going to have to do both legs unfortunately.
