WM near my work had a few pallets of boxes near the toy dept early this morning. But have not been touched. Not sure if the employee's will put anything new out today or tomorrow. I will try to check tomorrow morning.

Man. I was such a rabid MP collector. I never imagined that just a year or two later, I'd have completely abandoned buying them, and the only TF toys I have on preorder are 6 inch non-Transforming figures. Life plays out in strange ways.

If I'm being honest with myself, this is what I really wanted all along. I detest modern masterpiece qc, price, and complexity. But damn they look good sitting on shelf.

Had these been available 7 years ago, I would have never even thought about collecting mps. These R.E.D. figures give me about 90% of what I'm looking for at a fraction of the cost.

Dude no kidding. I have all my MP's packed up in a closet (and actually just ebayed off maybe 1/4th of my collection). These used to be the pinnacle of TF collecting and now I have all these 20-30 main line toys that do everything I liked about these even better at significantly less cost. And now the stuff I'm most salivating for is a line of non transforming figures Walmart exclusive figures and non transforming high end figures. Collecting Transformers sure has made some wild swerves over the last year or two.

I still love my mps....but with the rediculous costs and the substandard QC... I'm sorta over it. A year ago, I would have been excited about the v3 seekers...but now all I can think about is that they will be 200-300 bucks. No fuckin thanks.

This line is basically all I need...toon accuracy, articulation and excellent cost. Based on how the first batch come out...they will replace my mp collection.

Yeah, I've been tempted to get some MPs like Megatron simply for the gun mode but those price tags just aren't worth it. Especially since I'd feel I'd break them if I messed with them too much.

The Walmarts in my area have done their resets, and these are not in the planogram.

I can see the value with Masterpieces, but honestly the luster just falls really short. They look cool, but man the transformations are absolutely terrifying because of how expensive and overly complex they are. Not to mention, they are really big and heavy. I see the current lines as "mini-MPs" because they do transform while significantly smaller, easier to replace, and feel very much like toys I want to play with.

These are also a great way to get that perfect look without having to deal with fiddly transformations like SS 49 Bumblebee and it'll come with all the accessories needed. Some like SS Sentinel are annoying simply by the fact that Hasbro didn't include the shield or rust cannon. Now if the do a RED Sentinel, they can give him the sword and shield and not deal with the annoying waist joint.

Received two emails from Walmart. "Two or more" of the items that I ordered (Prime, Megatron, and Soundwave) have been "delayed due to high demand". They'll let me know if they "have to cancel" or not.

Same here for all three of mine. First they start canceling Netflix figure preorders, now these are delayed til who knows when. I am not surprised by anything happening to a Walmart preorder these days.
