Ugh, today was such a slog. Had to get skywarp to shout at me to keep me going. Thundercracker just disapproved and starscream was day dreaming the whole time. IMG_20200805_171908.jpg

Hi gang! Just got a Challenge at Cybertron boxset in, and though I've had surprisingly little trouble with Galvatron, I can't quite get the back of the tank to tab together, specifically the ones on the sides of the treads. Any tips from anyone? It'd be much appreciated :3 IMG_20200805_172155.jpg IMG_20200805_172136.jpg

These are available at Smyths!? I saw them in Walmart back in March (scary times, before they came home to roost...) and thought they looked like knock-offs. I considered picking them up but ultimately decided they weren't worth allotting valuable suitcase space to!

Got MMC Volatus [Blast Off] by Kapow today.

Quick thoughts as I need to nip out soon.

Packaging: Weirdly enough I got a closed box [ie Asian packaging] instead of the windowed release EU territories get. Cutting down because of the pandemic?

He's every bit as good, and better, than Fraudo.

He's big, he's hefty and he's just interesting and intuitive. Every single bit and piece is used for everything. There is a LOT packed into his engineering.

There's a clear trade-off between looks and functionality/engineering. Everything gets used for something and everything expands out and has hidden flip out pieces to connect to something else.

Shuttle mode is really good and larger than you'd expect. Robot mode has the same chunk in the legs that Swindle/Fraudo has. Colours are spot on and work really well with Swindle.

Don't have Onslaught or Vortex so can't combine things up at all but overall a clear win.

I was very sceptical of MMC and in particular their Perfection line [so many hits and misses there] trying out a combiner, all-in no less, but so far it's an absolute joy.

Negatives? Some parts are overly tight, others are a bit wobbly. Would have liked regular tabs instead of "puzzle" ones on his hips.

Rock on though, I am all in for this set [he says, tracking down Vortex and Onslaught]...

Ooooh, if this is indeed the Wave 3 packing of battlemasters, I may be making at least a trio of trio purchases!

They are if you can find them or the daft beggars decide to let you order online, most of mine are from America!

I think they're great, proper retro toys and decently priced.

Doublecrosser and Snek looks pretty cool, they’d be great impulse purchases if Smyths actually stocked them.

Those prints are amazing but £40 framed then delivery for that size? Nah. I'll wait for the AliExpress ones.

I'm intrested to see the ring restoration as it progresses so keep posting pics when you can!

Maybe somewhere down the line if AEW drop the Bucks, Omega and their minor league buddies and have a go at the "realistic sports based presentation" Tony Khan talked about at the start it could become something I could watch more consistently but for now I think I'll be better served sticking to small clips as it doesn't appear to have a great deal that resembles pro wrestling I enjoy.

They are getting £20 out of me for their MJF figure which is a start :D

This sounds super complicated! I might try masking and painting instead, @nemisispringer style. Though it'll mean masking huge parts at a time.

Speaking of, I'm also thinking SG Barricade for my CW Prowl. Any ideas on colours?

Neat I bought a couple of the blue ones - already as I thought he'd make a good riot shield combined with himself or attached either side of something as vehicle armour - which does kinda work.

I certainly wouldn't mind buying more ; Like Targetmasters they can be fun to decorate things with or to just add to armour-up combinations when you are not getting a whole lot of parts.

I'd not mind some repaints either - the red and the blue in each others colour might be nice for example. Or perhaps a green snake.

    Greetings Threeeeeeedizens!

Things I have seen in the sky this week: insects, birds, airplanes, clouds, some stars, a meteor, the Sun, the Moon, Venus, and Mars.
Last time I saw Mars was in 2003. It is quite red.

Things I have just paid the invoice for: Selects Hubcap from IDT, stock in on the 7th, quoth they.

Things I enjoyed on Netflix while so drunk I barely knew what was going on: guess.

Number of repaints that I now wish to purchase: also guess.

    Also, EVENING WOTCH (tm)

    heavy skel.jpg

Venus is quite russet too, under the clouds. Or maybe it's more ochre?

    Cylindrical_Map_of_Venus.jpg

Hope y'all been having fun! :D

Thanks to @Xaran Alamas I've been totally enabled on Prime Arcee, but the ones on ebay are crazy money! Is it a tough to find figure?

Any of you fine people able to help me out with a burning question? I don’t own any RID 2015 Warrior figures but I’m really close to pulling the trigger on a Bludgeon + Blastwave (shall be a pseudo-Banzaitron in my collection) and was wondering if the app scanner insignia labels are stickers or actually painted on?

    CBBB0383-6430-4E01-80BF-8C35FA2418D9.jpeg

I think they’re butt ugly and would like to know more for a potential future custom paint job on both (to make them look a bit nicer with the WFC stuff) and to replace the Autobot insignia on Blastwave with a Decepticon one?

Thinking of trying to track down the Warrior Skywarp too to custom a Slipstream, always thought of her separate to the seekers. That mold looks sexy in the black and purple. Just needs a new head.

    Ta very much :)

They are easily removable, pretty crap quality stickers but it does leave a bit of a naff blank circlular recess. I bunged a 3D 'Con Logo on mine's.

Thank goodness they’re stickers, and regarding the blank recess I think for the samurai tank mold it blends the best due to the extra 3 on the shoulders that have molded detail. Don’t think it’d look too shabby with some silver backed emblems.

Cheers Chris helpful as always :)

I've got Bludgeon, it's just a sticker: peeled it off and painted over!

BBC News - Mulan: UK cinemas hit out at 'disappointing' Disney+ release
UK cinemas hit out at Mulan online release

If they do the same with Black Widow you'll know cinemas are written off in Disney terms, because that likely determines Marvel's timeline for it's shows, movies and Spider-Man with Sony.

Down the line, I'd imagine they'll wanna focus on animation too for all the reasons.

Movies could really get back to actual characterisation and shorter running times long-term.

I haven't missed the cinema once during the pandemic, and if anyone was gonna... But the studios will need new ways to hype their movies if they collapse, plus it's simply weaker watching a giant battle or whatever at home.

Charging £23 for a movie won't last long either lmao

    Edit
