I haven't had issues with sticker sheets being cut wrong.

I have occasionally had issues where some sheets were missing, but their customer service came through quickly.

*points to bolded part* That's been happening a lot, lately, too. Their FB group/page is a wild ride, sometimes. I think the problem is they've gotten complacent and more or less have the attitude of "WYSIWYG, deal". I Googled their location, seems they're a print shop for everything, ToyHax is just one of their projects. (Or at least they used to be according to the location found on Google Earth). Either way, you can tell it's not as important as it once was and if this is a side operation for them, it's no wonder they take forever to ship. (And that was pre-pandemic and Black Friday.)

I've purchased a lot (a LOT) of their product. I enjoy putting some personal touches on figures.

The last Black Friday sale was an absolute cluster... They know it. I think it changed their business model (for better or worse, I don't know).

I will say that I've had more miss-cut or missing sheets lately, in the past year, than all my previous years combined. They always fix it, but still.

I had an issue where one expensive set I bought was replaced with a different expensive set. I was a cool dude and mailed it back, at my own expense, but didn't get reimbursed for the cost of shipping. Not a big deal but I'm helping to sort out a problem I did not create.

It would be nice if there was some way to tell if feedback was taken well or at all. I think the point about hiding the siege battle damage was on-point. I wish fewer sets would do things like cover a sculpted detail. That always looks bad long term. Some sets are a kind of necessity at this point, but others...are too much. Too much covering whole panels of the toy, too much strict G1 toy stuff, and too much sticker in general. Make it pop, but don't repaint it with wall paper.

I haven't ordered from them for a while. I have never had any issues with the quality.

    I have two issues.

One is that for a given set, I find myself consistently not using all the stickers. They keep throwing in these animation style / cel shaded stickers for things like windows that take up a huge amount of the set and drive up the price, and I never touch them. I'd much rather spend <$10 on a small amount of detail stickers than $25 for a huge set I'm barely going to use. Earthrise Prime for example.

My other issue is that they seem to have completely given up on the movie figures / Studio Series, despite many Studio Series figures crying out for nice sets. They've only done 10 Studio Series sets as the line approaches 70 figures, and the last one they did was BB Optimus Prime, which came out a year and a half ago. So many figures would benefit from sets, like Sentinel Prime, Roadbuster, the newer Optimus Prime molds, and of course the Constructicons. But still nothing...

Yeah I don’t buy as much as I used to because I don’t use half of them. I hate cell shaded windows and thank goodness they don’t do cyberglow anymore. Only cell shade I used was for Star Convoy and that’s because I wanted the window shape and there wasn’t another option. When they used to go on sale I’d impulse buy a bunch of sets. Now I don’t...

Yeah, I haven't bought anything from them since they became the Cell Shaded Windows Company. The last thing I bought from them was the SDCC Primal kit, IIRC.

I loved their Exhaust conversion set for CW Wheeljack and the Thunderclash conversion set for Battle Core Prime.

I asked them if I could buy the clear-backed, metallic symbols that were free, as I thought they were better than the regular "metallic" ones they sell (their regular ones are too shiny, whereas the clear-backed ones are more "matte" and closer to many official symbols, IMO). The main company refused.

Although someone at the boards, working for their office in Asia, offered to send me some for free, I refused, and I've not really bothered buying from them anymore. Also, I was annoyed that they couldn't make oversized versions of some existing sets for OSKO tfs, as they stated that they didn't support KO figures (even through they've released stickers for some KOs in the past).

Oh, and I agree with the design choices. Some of them are so ugly, and don't even include the stickers many of us wanted to begin with in the set. They also seem to mummify portions of the figure (like the faces) in paper and the glowing parts and cell-shaded windows are OTT.

I've kinda been 50/50 on them.

I once ordered a few sets during a freebie promotion and never got the free sheet so that was shitty. In retrospect I wish I had chased it up but I didn't want to seem cheap chasing up a freebie sheet of faction logos. I also agree that a lot of the newer sheets seem overly complex but not always. I really like the Ectotron set for instance. On the flip side I looked into Earthrise Wheel jack and it just seemed like I was covering the whole toy when all I really wanted were some additional sponsors for the feet etc.

However I do really like what they offer for the MP cars. I've gotten a few and it really helps give them that extra pop.

I still plan to keep buying their products but I'll admit i'm just typically after faction logos etc.

I have ordered from them 3 or 4 times this year. Most of the sheets were fine, but on the last set I ordered, which was potp Predaking set the black stickers were not cut deep enough. I tried an xacto knife but I just couldn't keep the lines straight, pissed me right off. I ended up just tossing the black sheet which luckily was just one sheet but still I paid I think $30.00 dollars for that set. I'm now worried about getting unfinished product from them, especially after reading this thread.
I like their labels but for the cost it's not worth it when their quality is currently slipping...
I have like 4 or 5 sets I want to order but have been holding off due to fears of them not being cut right. I'm sure they would send replacements if contacted but it already takes 2+ weeks to initially get them, I don't wanna wait another 2 weeks for replacements.

So right now I'm kind of in limbo with them...

I love the Cel Shaded window stickers for the MPs. My only issue with them so far has been the set for MP-45 had odd cuts on the window stickers, like the sheet was run through the wrong cutting process after being cut correctly. I pieced them together just fine and you hardly notice it without looking really closely, but it seems like maybe they're getting too popular to be able to keep up and maintain the quality they are known for.

I have no problem with the quality, but getting rid of sales and adding a bunch of additional stickers I will never use, thus driving the cost up, has turned me off. ER Optimus' set costs as much as a deluxe. Plus, they don't have a pair of yellow eyes, but some giant "tech spec" instead. WTF.

I've only purchased stickers to replace the G1 Encore / Reissue sets which rarely have any adhesion. No issues with the quality, but they are expensive.

When I saw the Shattered Glass Optimus stickers, it felt like they allowed a teenager that no idea what the hell it was going on to put random shit in there

The siege Red Alert and Mirage sets were really great. I loved that they created a set that covered up the translucent plastic on Mirage with toy decals. That's the kind of thing I want to see more from them: Sets that solve problems, instead of a bunch of stickers that just randomly add detail.

Their prices have definitely gone way up and the quality is down. Plus they decided to start mostly ignoring studio series which is all I want from them (and faction symbols). Plus why is the "shipping" so slow? They're just putting a bunch of paper in an envelope most of the time and charging us lots of money for it.

Shipping is slow since overseas. Otherwise, Hasbro would be all over them.

It's not just quality going down (my home printer is better...I'm not just saying that, it really is, and I've been using that to make extra labels) but their color matching is also off...like way off.

Some people like the cel shaded windows. I personally don't care for them as they often look odd and strangely out of place (the poor quality doesn't help either). Cel shaded windows would work if the entire figure was cel shaded, otherwise, it just creates a style clash within the same figure.

Looking for used figures is so annoying when you finally find something you want in the quality you want...and it has the toyhax labels slapped all over them, arrgh.

Is there a viable alternative to ToyHax? If there is one, I'd love to know about it. Does anyone know of one?

I hear all the issues. I still buy them bc I don't mind and it's something that gets me to transform my figs again rather than sit on the shelf after 1 or 2 transformations.

Never had missing sheets, but I've had a few uncut ones. And yeah, def not what they used to be.
