    Warning:
The following review of a high-quality KO may contain extreme amounts of geek, awesomeness, Voltron, Evangelion and silly russian taoist.

The Constructicons were an impulse buy.
I had somewhere around 3000 rubles (40-50 USD). I planned to buy a couple of shelfwarmin' Wei Jiangs when I saw two combiner boxsets: some number thing and Devy. Of course, I took Devy. He costed around 2800 rubles.
I thanked heavens for some days since that.

Lets see those guys. Typical CHUG style Constructicons. They all have their individual weapons near them. For play value: The wheeled ones roll nicely (Long Haul sometimes catches ground with his Devy crouch). The treaded ones do not roll at all. Scrapper and Bonecrusher have jointed plows, Scavenger has a nice jointed shovel, while Hook can lift his boom. Due to transformation, his crane doesn't extend or turn. But if you, again thanks to the transformation, you can put his crane behind him and use it as a lifting arm.

    Lets get to the robots
    [IMG][IMG]

So the robots are surprisingly detailed despite coming from the glorious China.
They have some nice poseability: ball jointed shoulders, elbows and (besides Long Haul) hips. The arm bots have some REALLY tight ball joints in knees, while all others use mostly swivels (Long Haul, due to his stability-creating role, has ratchets in hips and knees). Arm bots have some articulation in the feet (real tight), others lack defined feet. But due to transformation, Long Haul can have rudimentary heelspurs formed by combination joints. Long Haul is the only one with an articulated head (ball joint) They hold their weapons nicely.
    GET READY TO FORM DEVASTATOR
The process is intuitive. Love how the forearms, chestplate and crotch are integrated.

Devastator speaks for himself. Legs are very poseable for his price and origin, though limited in forward hip movement. Knees bend 90° and fully rotate, the jointed plow of Scrapper and a concealed hinge in Mixmaster work nicely for feet movement. Arms rotate in shoulders, go to and away from torso. Elbows are double-jointed, but design limits their movement to 90°. Hands (which are the only add-on parts) rotate. The thumb has a ball joint, the index finger is molded separately and moves on a swivel. The fused middle, ring and pinky fingers swivel too.
    Head is ball jointed.[IMG]

Not a Eva-level dynamic pose, but Devastator has never been a very agile character. The huge rifle is formed from individual weapons.
Complaints: Arms sometimes fall off (Weird pegs!). Devy's knee and shoulder joints fold so deep into their respective robots and are so tight that it can be almost painful to pull them out.

A nice KO. There are cons, but for such price and amount of pros, they are ignorable.

Edit: the fists attach with 5-mm posts. You can fit some CW HFGs or a Pteraxadon, or a Lionizer, or a......... KYORYUUKEN GAWD HOARN (RENJAA SHOUT, patent p.)!!!

Please ID if you know a copy of what this thing is.

For those who don't know what is KYORYUKEN GAWD HOARN, it is Megazord's Power Sword. I happen to have a GAWD HOARN packaged with a KO Voltronbee Shuttle.

Sorry, I'm confused. Are you asking us to identify the set or are you asking us if there's more knockoffs of the set. Either way, this is a knockoff of DX9's Hulkie.

So you're a Taoist too now?
Always wanted to buy the WJ G2 set, but I decided to wait for a version from New Age or Magic Square in the end.

What exactly do you mean? I have been a Taoist even before I joined the forum. About "too", I don't see anyone in this review thred who joined Taoism.

Just I have updated the warning cuz I was afraid of religion-based comment deletion (though Taoism is not a religion as a such. It is a system of philosophy without a notion of worship. Religious Taoism is Taoism applied to Chinese folk beliefs).

Yes. They are quick with the no relegion, race, gender, political comments-based deletions these days.
Or maybe that's just my experience :D
