What parts are die cast ? Are the hips floppy? How do you feel with the knees? How does the truck hold himself?
Yeah, looks like it. Strange that Starscream has a nice metallic red eyes. For Prime, the blue plastic chosen looks too dark when encased by Prime’s head.
Yeah as far as I've seen there isn't a light-up feature or light-piping into the eyes, so I'm assuming it's because the figure has no paint on it at all.
nice! totally forgot he had teh jetpack. he gonna be my jetpack prime because we cn pretend his huge backpack is part of the jetpack! looks good, matte is actually quite nice.
1. Haven't transformed him yet, but looks like the smoke stacks and truck front grill & bumper only 2. Not at all 3. I don't have any original MP-44 mold, so not sure what the issue with that one is exactly. With this one, there's no ratcheting sound till you bend it over 90 degrees. 4. Stayed tuned...
I thought the main issue was that the knees was that they would break if you bent them in the wrong order
Not exactly. To be clear there is a small tab that slides behind the knee. That lets the upper knee to bend first. Then you can bend the bottom one when that tab slides in the slot. So the knees bend in the correct order and it looks aesthetically right. The knee actually breaks when that tab isn't locked in place thanks to a groove that is too soft and the knees don't ratchet anymore and bend in an incorrect order. The result is a friction joint rather than a ratchet joint on the upper knee and knees that fold not in a correct order. And what @PrimeTime describes is exactly how some felt straight out of the box...
The stress mark on the season 2 head are a little worrisome. I just bought a metallic blue Gundam marker so painting the eyes won't be a problem.
There were no instructions included, so I used Ben's video to transform him into truck mode. I managed to put 4 stress marks into it already. Also, I can't seem to get the 2 tabs above the gas tanks to stay locked in. Definitely better looking bot mode than alt mode. Not sure if mis-transformed, but these 3 parts sit a bit too low to allow the middle tires to roll properly:
Just wondering since on amazon uk before I bought a metallic blue gundam marker the second last one was gone and it was just after people on here were discussing it but it could have been anyone.
Wish the shoulder was just flat. Would rather use a toon accurate decal (which if I'm not mistaken are a little wider) than that raised insignia that they throw in.
