I dunno, the impression I got from the video was that Dragon Soul was expecting a lot more from the figure coming off of Turtles he had from NECA and other companies. The S7 Turtles look how I expected given how the 4H and S7 have been making their figures for years. Maybe Dragon Soul didn’t know what S7/4H figures were like prior. If you expect them to be up there articulation-wise with NECA, Figuarts, even Playmates Classics, the S7 Turtles will come up short. If you’re used to S7/4H figures, I think their Turtles will turn out how you’d expect.

I agree with that. I only have one "premium" S7 figure (Classic Sorceress). While I don't want to base my entire opinion of S7's products on my experience with that one figure, most of what I've seen from those S7 TMNT review videos so far is consistent with my experience with Sorceress. They're generally really nicely sculpted and the paint is pretty good, but the articulation is relatively limited and there are some floppy/loose parts. I preordered the S7 Mutagen Man assuming he will turn out similarly. Which would be fine with me since I think he looks great. But, if one were expecting better (given the price point) I could understand some disappointment.

I find them on par with Neca's, imo. Sure those have double jointed knees, but but the S7 ones have an ankle joint that actually does something.

Now that I think about it...why doesn't SHF make more TMNT stuff? Lol...

Edit: I mean, S7 and NECA no doubt each have their issues...I'd just like TMNT figures I don't have to have some degree of concern over regarding basic functionality...

My feeling is that it was probably a case of Super7’s Chinese distributor selling the figures when they weren’t supposed to be. Anything is possible, and I guess they could just be knock offs, but they seem to be out pretty fast for them to be knock offs. I think, either way, things seem to point to the Chinese distributor not acting in good faith. Because if these are knock offs and they’re out before the official ones are even out, I would have to think that would still be traced back to their distributor, over there. I’m no expert though, so maybe I’m wrong. Either way, I can definitely understand Brian not being happy about it. I just thought that going after the reviewer might have been an example of “shooting the messenger,” because he seemed to provide proof that at the very least, they weren’t reject samples stolen out of the factory. Real or knock offs, they definitely appeared to be selling them at that store.

based on how they went on clearance i'd say maybe that has something to do with it, though i wouldn't mind them tackling the RotTMNT figs as their aesthitics lead well to cartoony designs more so, they could even go back and do the 2012 Nick TMNT and i'd give them my money, i'm sure they'd have just as many features and accessories as the Figma

i'm going to throw Casey's head on another body, i've never been a fan of the crop top and knee ripped shorts, i'm looking at some of the WWE Elite figs, maybe a Dean Ambrose or someone else in jeans and a t-shirt

I think the main issue the SHF turtles had was their aesthetic. It was too cartoony and generic, I think. I guess if you're only going to make one set of turtles, going generic might seem like the best option. But, I think instead of maximizing the number of people they attracted, I think maybe they kind of alienated a lot of people with their non-specific designs. I'd like to see what they could do if they dedicated themselves to making designs specific to a certain show or movie. Alternatively, if NECA and S7 could just improve the joints/materials/articulation (as applicable), it would go a long way. I'd pay more for better figures.

How much did people's shipping come to with Tokka & Razahr? I put it in the cart and shipping was $23. While I like them, the total will be $93. Don't know if I can justify paying that much.

I ordered two sets and the total shipping charge was just shy of $18. Where are you located?

I'm sure I picked the cheaper one. I'm waiting a few months for the figures...I can wait an extra few days for them to show up after release...lol...

It only gave me FedEx home delivery. No other choice.

I think I'm just going to stick to 1st movie based figures. These just aren't worth what breaks down to over $45 each.

Where are you located? State if you don't want to say the city.

I have no idea where NECA is located.

I believe NECA is located in New Jersey...but I don't know that the figures are necessarily shipping out of there. I went back and looked at my order confirmation, and it looks like I picked UPS Ground.
