I would LOVE for MMC to throw their hat into the ring of the rest of the Combiners, Devastator most of all. Already gonna grab their Protectobots, why not keep going? Haha.

Already in love with my Bruticus set, so I have no doubt that they'd deliver with the rest.

I truly believe that FT is going to do what they did last year going forward. They are going to show you finished prototypes toward the end of the year that will be the 2021 releases. I expect to see Bandit, Hollywood, Viper, Acoustic Wave, Tapes, Perceptor 2.0, and Huff. We may get prototypes of the combiner skeletons and I would not be surprised to get announcement of the 2 new combiners with renders. I don't believe Chomp, Outrider, or Berserk will be on the schedule but I may be wrong. 2022 should be Chomp, Berserk, Outrider, Fortress, Mirage, Jazz, Sonic Wave, Cliffjumper. Each year you are also going to get some reissues. If you look at Toyworld Devy and GigaPower Dinobots and then Zeta and XTB you see a lot of reissues. FT has built up that scarcity that has kept the value high so they can always have lots of reissues to keep that part of the market alive in future years. With the constant on time scheduled releases FT is the one company that reached the level of maturity we hoped the others would achieve. XTB/KFC had about two good years where they hit that and it looked promising but dropped off the cliff. FT has been consistently improving and expanding.

 

If i remember correctly i think they announced a Devastator so i'm stoked for that one challenging TW Constructor for the crown but if their trend is 2 combiners at the same time i'm down with that.

I don't think Devy would be next. I would expect Defensor and Bruticus then Computron and Abominus and finish with Predaking and Devy

 

Gotta say though, FT has been releasing these combiner bots at a nice and steady pace. Seeing them develop and release another 2 combiners at the same time again is a believable task.

I agree with some of your points and disagree with some. I think you're going to see Outrider quite early in 2021, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he winds up being their first release of the new year. I expect both he and Berserker to be released fairly early on. Not sure about Chomp making it next year, but those other two for sure, along with the three combiners, Tesla 2.0, Huff and Acoustic Wave. That's 8. If there's 9, I think Jazz has a good chance, and if there's 10, then maybe Chomp.

 

I look at complexity of development and what is closest to completion. I fully expect to see updated Chomp photos just like Outrider and Berserk to buy time so people know those figures are not forgotten and will be released in 2022. At the same time all of this production is going, FT will be developing the 2022 figures in 2021 while wrapping up the 2021 figures. Jazz and Mirage are just too early for next year. Also, we have to remember that Bandit and Hollywood or Viper are also coming with the combiner skeletons. That is a TON of development that is getting wrapped up. If you count those as doubles you are already at 9 and that is already pushing it. I think FT may do two packs on the tapes where Acoustic Wave comes with Laserbeak and then you get Ravage/Buzzsaw and Rumble/Frenzy. That is 10 releases before reissues. It's just a lot. Think back to when FT moved up the schedule on Rouge. They wanted to make a statement. FT has put a lot behind Acoustic Wave. It's a matter of pride. They feel cheated by what happened before and they want to release theirs. Just like Thomas this year that is their big release along with the combiners. The following year Berserk and Sonic Wave along with Jazz and Mirage fit that bill. They are going to need that time while they work on Bruticus and Defensor.

 

Acoustic Wave will almost certainly come in two pieces.

Just don’t want to complete the set. I like the size and the all in one gimmick of the mmc so I’m gonna pass on this way larger autobot combiner. My transformers buying is pretty much nothing these days. Been doing marvel legends recently.
