Imo, Bulldog is underated. I like him very much, it's more fun to play than Bumblebee. I would choose to play with him rather than with Bee.
But it makes sense that people have their own taste. Releasing Starscream this way is quite annoying, even knowing that later they will release it individually.
Fortunately I do like the characters Jetfire, Hotrod & Barricade, so I'll try to complete this 1st run, then maybe only OP and Meg to finish this expensive line.

Ah he does have 5 wheels in vehicle mode. one of the pics shows his vehicle mode from the side and has a spare wheel on the Left side. What bothers me is where is the sixth wheel looks to me that the 2 wheels on his arms are the front wheels and the 2 bottom wheels on his legs are the back ones. the upper leg wheel is the spare. But where is the right side one come from.

Dammit! If these were MPM scale I would definitely get them! Although for SS scale, they sure look awesome. I might still consider getting them I guess.
Like, looking closer at the pics, the sculpting on these guys are freaking superb! If only unique toys had this level of sculpting.

Yeah this makes me wish they didn't stick to movie accuracy. These designs weren't made with those cars in mind.

These actually look pretty damn cool. I'm not going to buy them, but they look cool. I like that they're making something up for Barricade. I don't recall a WW2 mode of him actually being in the movie.

Pretend the back wheels on the car mode are double wheels like a semi cab. Or that the wheels split in half during transformation. Boom, problem solved.

Not a huge leap in logic compared to some of the other things this fandom hand waves away

Whoops, didn't notice the integrated spare. Accounts for 5 wheels unless there's another tucked in somewhere or they gave him 6 for funsies in the movie.
They did make these as dualies as well as 6x6s but not in Hot Rods case.

dang I half expected the chair and table to transform too..

but this is really what the Studio Series WWII toys should have been more like...even if they couldn't justify getting the license they could have at least come up with something that resembled what was onscreen a bit more...

I want to get into these and am wondering which versions came with the Starscream parts? I know there's like 50 versions of Bulldog and Bumblebee

I really want to get bulldog but I feel like now they are just making s**t up. I wanted starscream since he was the most visible "photo" in that quick reminiscing scene, but im not commiting to a line this big at 3p prices. Now they are just giving Bayformer characters the WW1 treatment with no proof of what their alt modes actually were in that time period. I might just get bulldog since he was actually in the movie. Im not going to pay the aftermarket price for an assembled starscream. Ive got too much other stuff to buy.

Edit: Taking a look at that furniture, I dont think it scales properly with studio series. We have the paratrooper that came with Shockwave and Charlie to compare how big furniture should be. Unless they are going for Alice in Wonderland scale....

I wasn't too keen on their Bumblebee or Bulldog, but these two look great!

I love the originality of Barricade, and I equally adore his little Frenzy. And while they're totally useless and will definitely add to the price perhaps unnecessarily, I really like the diorama pieces. The fact that Hot Rod comes with "the watch who killed Hitler" is amazing

These toys put "official" Hasbro toys to shame.

Remember when "official" Hasbro mainline Transformers:

    1. Actually were put together with metal screws and pins and not friction joints everywhere?
    2. Speaking of metal pins, Hasbro forgot those in favor of "regular" clip-on wheels to now outside clip-on wheels? Eye sore level 45.
    3. Not every part of the figure was hollowed out and now to the point of just panels and nothing else?

Just how many wheels does Hot Rod have? Pretty sure some of them are fake.
I see he also comes with the watch that killed Hitler?

No they don't. Hot Rod looks super fiddley and ready to fall apart.

Last I checked, they still were. Heck they even brought back ratcheting joints, which I have not seen many third party use.

You ARE aware that we are not in 1984, when diecast was cheaper than metal? Now it is the other way around. Also, I think a giant metal pin on the wheel looks far uglier than a painted rim clip-on wheel... I just need to glance at Earthrise Hoist and Grapple to confirm that.

Oh yeah, sure. Hasbro could do that too. In fact, they let Takara do that, producing Deluxe/Voyager sized toys that aren't hollow and are super complex... and they cost what, 120-150$ or more? ;)  You ARE aware that third party toys A: cost more than regular TFs of that size, B: skip a lot of steps like breakage and strech tests, C: are not restricted by budget per size category, as they can ask as much as they want for a toy, instead of Hasbro's set prices for deluxes?

I really don't understand people like you. We live in a ****** second golden age, when not only are my childhood G1 toys getting very articulated and very accurate recreations, including for characters who never even had G1 toys like Quintessons, but also movieverse fans are getting movie-accurate representations of all their favourite characters too? Let me remind you, no third party attempted to do Devastator until they saw Hasbro doing it.

Dam it, I know they’ll be pricy but dam do they look good. Barricade as something other than just a mustang looks weird in a good way. Like, I want it now. Look forward to these. Very happy they are making progress.
