No problems at all. I could have done a better job of it considering I broke the posts taking out the old one. I'd say if you have a bit more care than I did (which won't be hard) you won't have any problems.

Anyway, best of luck with it :)

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

When I got my replacement part, it was both a new arm including up to the side panel. All I had to do was remove the pin from the original to get the old one off. If your replacement doesn't include the entire panel, then I can imagine it would be a trickier and more involved repair process.

So thought I'd update folks to what happened.

Just for context/reminder I'm in the UK and bought Powerbaser from an eBay seller in China. Took 6/7 weeks to arrive (understandable right now the way the world is); I unboxed it, transformed the cab robot and the arm popped off. The spring came out and then the ratchet broke in half. You can see at the start of the thread anyhow.

Contacted the vendor; who said try Fans Hobby as they had asked them about a repair and it could be done (or use strong glue ). I left it for over a week and had no response so last Friday emailed the vendor and said "hi I have a broken product, had no response from Fans Hobby so if after the weekend they or you don't get in touch with a solution I'll ask eBay for a resolution".

Come Monday I had no response so emailed eBay with the same stuff I've mentioned here. I had a response email 10 mins later (the response speed shocked me) to say they were refunding me the complete balance plus any postage.

So anyhow a shame Powerbaser didn't work out for me but I tried to sort it and eBay came good in the end.

I've since picked up TFC Toys Supreme Tactical Commander which whilst not looking like a G1 Prime is an awesome beefy Optimus take; really high quality and one of the best third party figures I've come across so far. And going to put some of the eBay refund to getting a Transform Element Prime I think.

Recently got black power baser. Having a lot of trouble with the combined mode. The three rear pannel forming the back do not seem to align properly and thus require an insane amount of force to connect. Looked over Peaugh, Emgo and Kuma's videos for transformation. Can't figure out what im doing wrong.

Most times, I can’t get the combined mode to fit perfectly, either. I eventually decided to stop stressing out about it. Sometimes the backpack fits well, and sometimes it doesn’t.
Sometimes, I will shift the back wheels “up” so they would no longer touch the ground in truck mode, and that helps.

image.jpg image.jpg Received my V2 power Baser in today from Robotkingdom. 2 days shipping via TNT/Fedex Express (only option to Canada) and he is amazing. Big. Imposing. Just awesome. I found a way to store his back guns on his back too. You fold out the main handle and slide them over the grey side parts on his back. They sit high but work. Bring on Minerva, God Bomber and the rest!

After spending a couple weeks with this guy I think I figured out something. In all promo pics, on the box, and even in the instructions, your told/shown to take the core/cab box and have his wheels/cab sides tucked in for combined mode and I think that is wrong. I found that if you keep them out (a la alt mode) but push only the wheels up, it keeps his midsection cleaner. There is no "see through abs" and it allows for the cab/core bot to be more sturdy. There is even some cutouts on the pec parts of the trailer that can go around these bits. The only part that doesn't work is the fold down bumper but that wasn't on the V1 so I think it was an afterthought. I'll take some pics later to illustrate what I'm talking about.

Yep. I got mine back in May and had to pull them out. Didn’t like the tucked in look.

I preordered as soon as I saw it was up again as I’ve been trying to find one for a while but prices are astronomical, either because of after market markup (when trying to buy domestic from eBay) or outrageous shipping (Asia seller and...also most domestic eBay listings).

I actually like most of the changes to V2, the eyes being the only exception. Like most people I always picture Prime with those piercing baby blues. But I’m actually ok with the red eyes, since that’s toy accurate and I tend to lean slightly toy over toon in general. They could give him glowing neon yellow eyes (like the original toy!) and I’d still be happy to be able to get one at retail price with free shipping. Even sellers here in the States are wanting > $60 for shipping. I ship a lot of big stuff and it has never cost me $60.

I understand why people do it but I really hate that folks try to backend their eBay profits with fictional shipping costs. Especially since you get a break on postage if you buy it through eBay. An auction for one of these ended just on Friday and it sold for > $300, plus the guy tacked on like $65 for shipping. That’s what it costs to ship one of these from Hong Kong, not Washington state.

Sorry for the rant but this has been really frustrating me. I’m super happy FH decided to do another reissue because I was staying to resign myself to having to miss out on this guy.

I'm sometimes tempted to buy Black Power Baser just for swapping the eyes.

Mine is also in pretty bad need of some floor polish to tighten up the peg on his hip skirt.

I was able to cannibalize the blue eyes from my Power Baser for the normal version. The red eyes look good too but just not my thing for Prime. Although I do like the G1 toy aesthetics in Power Baser. The nice thing is it didn't cost me the blue eyes on the black power baser (who I think of as Nucleon Quest Convoy rather than Nemesis Prime), because FH threw in a new head with the Black Power Baser head, so the old head and its blue eyes would just be rotting in a drawer.

I just wish I could get some of those chrome blue eyes for the inner robot on the normal Power Baser. I tried messaging FH but they said nope.
