The funniest thing that I have the most severe problems with English system on this entire site. In Russia, metric system reigns supreme since USSR.

Maybe you should buy this hem instead of FT-40?

She already said I could get it. If she changes her mind her mom has a guest bedroom.

I’m less worried about the price of the product (latest rumour from China is some 3000 Yuan street price, with 2000 Yuan for preorders) than the shipping price. I hope that when it’s released in some years the shipping will be down the current spiked prices.

My question, though it might sound a-holy, I assure you its not, is:

Whats the point of that size? City bots will never be able to scale properly unless it can transform into a three story house of 150 M^2 size-wise.

Not only it increases the costs of it, but the problem it arises is that if its part of a city bot series, most of us will need a new house just for half of them.....

If its an one shot product then ok....I guess?

Same was said about Hasbro unicron. Just buy it or don't, titan fort max is good enough for some. I'd rather it was metroplex but I'm still getting it. Again not trying to be a-holy either. Good word!

I suppose this was directed at me?

Well then, Unicron was/is a one piece. Its not part of a sub group. Kinda makes the choice easier. I mean you dont need to fill a house with that size figures to have a complete group. On the other hand, if you get one of the city bots, and assuming you keep to scale and a completionist, that raises way more difficulties dont you think?

EDIT: Just to clarify: I am not against the figure in anyway, nor I see something that I dislike in the render.

The size and price still are/will be madness.

I get what u are saying(its out of scale if its not the size if a house) but anything smaller than the planned size would be more out of scale right?

I really don't get the completionist thing though. Ft has some good figures but some are less than on par. I like several companies and I pick and choose a lot. Its all opinion but everyone was in awe of roadking and I think the fact he has 18 wheels is awesome but he's far from my favorite in my collection.

I actually hope we see cerebros release in 2021 so those who have the room and funds can look forward to the body come out soon after. Hopefully they continue with citybots every few years so those of us not making 6 figures can afford them

I think they chose that size so his bot mode scales to metroplex’s bot mode in the scale chart they used to use a lot. Around 3 Omegas tall, though it comes up short.

Since he mass shifts bigger when in alt mode, that has no chance being in scale like omegas rocket and Astrotrain.

Thats a good point. Though personally thought that having any bot x times larger than Metroplex is....lets say for politeness shake silly.

A good point non the less that I didnt think about.

Sorry missed that in my notifications.

So let me clarify: With the completionist tid bit, I meant 'teams' or sort of teams, not brand of figures.
Etc citybots, combiners. FortMax is a city-bot ergo it falls within a certain standard of figure size, and that one seems to be the odd one out (IF they dont make outhers that size). You gonna have lets say a Trypticon thats a midget compared to FortMax, or even a Scorponok...
Personally thats one of the reasons that put me off with the original Metroplex, that it was too tall compared to Trypticon (among a host of other things, that are besides the point) and I went for Utopia instead. Hope thats clear enough?

Now ofc @Ragnar454 reminded me of the scale charts depicting Max as humongous (I think thats a Japanese thing?) so it kind of makes sense under that perspective. Not a fan myself, but still it does make sense.

Honestly by the time fort max was introduced i was moving on to girls and cars. Didn't even know the difference in the Japanese vs US versions of the cartoon til this thread started. For the most part I still don't. The Hasbro fort max was the last hastak figure I bought and only bc it was on sale. Sometimes I'm jealous of those that like hasbro bc they are cheaper and more readily available. Be nice to walk into a store and come out with 3rd party tf's

My impression was that Cerebros' is scaled to the rest of FT's Headmasters, and Max's size is the right size for his body to scale to his head.

It’s possible, but it kinda seems like his head is wider left to right, and skinnier front to back. Meaning instead of having a smaller normal square cubed head (which it would be if body was based on the head). It seems like they are trying to stretch the head wider, to make the head seem bigger, to go with the body size they wanted. But that’s all speculation so who knows.

I would like the 4 city bots to be all the same size, so maybe it’s my basis blinding me.

3000 Yuan is about $575 CAD, or about $430 USD. If FM is taller than OS, he might be worth it. They'll be shipping it in sections, IMO.

Please note that this is the rumored price in China. Internationally, it will be double that price (or, if following the FT pattern, double the preorder price, 4000 Yuan/575 USD, but I think it will need to be more because of the weight and shipping price). Anyway, it’s all speculation at the moment.

And yes, it will be taller than the FT OS (more than double, in fact, at 120 cm).

I also think they will need to ship it in sections. It will probably weight some 17-20 Kg or more, and shipping all of this together will be cost-prohibitive.
