I don't really have much experience with car photography nor taking pics of the TFs in vehicle mode but I gave it a shot. The hardest one to do was Ironhide because of the reflectivity and the way the light reacts with the black color.
I ended up transforming them to vehicle mode after Thursday's quake which was violent enough to topple Optimus from a high shelf; I think the figure is fine. But looking at the MPMs in vehicle mode, they look great. I didn't bother transforming Megs since I have no space to store him in his alt. mode.

Was playing with Optimus when his right knee suddenly went loose. Turns out the back of his right knee cracked if you can see in the photo below. It's not very floppy (yet anyway) but it's a real bummer since I liked how tight the joints were. Also noticing stress marks on the other knee in the same place, which is worrisome.

Is it worth trying to retighten the joint? Haven't done it before and since this joint is cracked, I'm not sure if it's a good idea.

For some reason I had a dream that I had the ROTF NEST Ironhide repaint of 2007 Ironhide???  I don't even own a single version of that mold??? o_O

Oh my god, you absolute mad lad.

I think the best course of action would be to glue the joint back together and if it's loose, just settle for that.

To add to this, make sure that after you glue the pieces you move the knee joint back and forth for a while so it doesn't glue the leg joint into place. Lost the arm on my Reveal the Shield Bumblebee because I didn't do that.

Disassemble the whole knee so that the red plastic is on it own and no risk of gluing the wrong pieces. Since it's all screws, it should be decently simple. Use a toothpick or a safety pin to push a good dab of superglue into the crack (but pull it out quick enough that you don't end up gluing the pick in there, superglue dries fast). Right after that, press and hold it together tight enough for the crack to be completely closed for 30 or so seconds, long enough for the glue to take hold. Then coat the outside of the crack in a thin layer of superglue also. I generally leave superglue overnight to fully dry. After that, you should be okay to reassemble and make sure it worked

A new Blitzwing would be cool. The TR one is pretty lame and the T30 one is dated. But aren't we supposed to be talking about non-live-action SS figures in the SS 86 thread, hence the thread title change?
