Well, keep in mind for regular non-exclusive items release dates are basically a suggestion/guideline. Target and Wal-Mart can't sell us empty shelf space so if they get wave 2 or whatever early they aren't going to wait to put it out if the pegs are empty. So it just depends on when distribution gets their stuff from Hasbro and then starts sending out the next wave instead of the current wave. Retail is fun like that.
I thought pulse had been pretty consistently one of the last to get stuff, I definitely remember people complaining about that during siege
Hmm, I can't speak for Siege since I didn't buy any of that from them last year if it wasn't already in stock, but I preordered a bunch of Marvel Legends from them last year and they were consistently getting it in before BBTS and other etailers.
I got Duke in the mail today (I'm still not comfortable going out to retail unless I really need to,) and I realized what was bothering me about him from all the pictures I'd seen: the green section of his shirt, covering the clavicles. Ideally, I would've removed the green from his shoulders as well, but it was enough of a pain getting the paint off of that soft PVC collar piece (which you can see left its marks - as well as necessitating a hasty photoshop fix in order to cover up the underside edges of that piece where it meets the upper torso & my terribly not-color-matched paint made more glaringly obvious.) Also, the shoulder's disc joint parts are molded in green. Part of me is ok with leaving the shoulder straps red, for sometimes-cartoon accuracy (orange might look better,) but I might remove that paint as well. Either way, I like the overall look better without the green, but it now it's even more apparent how the shoulders don't even come close to lining up at the top with the rest of the torso. I do love that head sculpt, though.
Neat! I've been seeing the early figure youtubers (The ones in Singapore or with connections) Have been getting SDCC Commander, Pimp Daddy Destro, and Artic Storm Shadow.
Honestly, bbts has been in the crapper for a few years now, ever since they redesigned the site and went to the $4 shipping they became one of the slowest etailers to get stuff in and to ship out in stock stuff, and this has been consistent in my experience
That's true. Not sure what happened behind the scenes around that time, but it honestly feels like it's not the same company anymore. Especially if you've ever had to do a return/exchange in recent years with them.
Definitely agreed, I think it's sad that most of the time it takes them a week or more to ship out something that's in stock
My Cobra Commander is pre-ordered from BBTS and Entertainment Earth. I guess I'll be getting EE's first, and cancelling the BBTS order.
Whelp a cursory glance on brickseek showed every target in the city was cleaned out of trooper but one...luck was on my side since I found a trooper yesterday, I was able to show the target worker that it was available for purchase, so they fished them out and rang up with no issue, mission complete!
I truly believe that they had really started to hurt established players like Walmart. They were doing so well they even tried to go into distribution. Somebody slapped them _hard_ for that. These constant delays are to ensure they _never_ try something like that ever again.
I finished reorganizing one of my shelves and I forgot that a fellow Joe fan had sent me parts to finish this guy up:
I figure the same actress played both in daredevil/defenders and gi joe retaliation, and the Netflix outfit is black with red accents and mask, so it might look good with the red ninjas as a sort of reimagined jinx
Anyone got any good suggestions for vehicles for 6" figures. I know marvel legends has put out a few, like a military motorcycle with a captain america that would probably work well, but any other suggestions?
